MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Pembroke Pines

This is by far one of the worst pizza places I’ve ever been to. Although the atmosphere and customer service is very good, the actual pizza itself is lacking, and the young minded employees with minimal direction gives MOD Pizza a 2 star rating at best.

I went with two other people, where we were greeted with warm smiles and attention catching hellos from the line. The selection is better than Pieology but not as good as Blaze Pizza (which is far superior). The ingredients looked fresh and it was very clean inside. It was busy and lots of people were in the line ready to make your pizza. However, the employees were young, which isn’t a bad thing when a manager or shift leader is clearly present, but whoever was in charge rarely stepped in and wasn’t definitive. The pizza is a tad smaller than most other pizza establishments but that wouldn’t mean anything if it were good. Going through the line, it was difficult asking for particular requests regarding the pizza, like asking for extra of something or spreading it out more. The line was very crowded and caused confusion. Once you get through, you pay and wait for you pizza. I ordered mine well done but was alerted when the employee manning the oven clearly had no experience doing so, and wasn’t being corrected or monitored. The pizza came out burnt, which I normally wouldn’t really mind, but the bottom of the pizza was black, while the top was undercooked. This means the oven was too high. The pizzas weren’t moved around in the oven either for even cooking, and the actual oven itself was dirty. At the end, where you add the finishing touches to the pizza, the employees were unprofessional and immature, exhibited they were young and mismanaged. It took a very long time to receive your pizza with any last touches, which left you with a warmish pizza. The pizza itself was tasteless and bland. The sauce was nothing to write home about and the cheeses had no taste. Again, the atmosphere was nice and the workers were incredibly pleasant, but the quality of t pizza and lack of training from the employees made my visit to MOD Pizza a regrettable one. Will not be going again, and will travel to Blaze...

Bad customer service after dining there 5x already i dont think we will return. The place is definitely cleaned but the chick they had on the line today was aweful. She never acknowledge me and my family standing there to be serve, i had to ask the young lady Izzy if the order of direction had change because we never had to wait like if there was no line. Izzy is a sweetheart with great customer service but unfortunately on this St Patrick sunday she was busy on the register taken payments from people who was ahead of us. This female im decribing decided to say i will be with you once im done. She ment done as in making the online orders, that wasnt the problem because i know places can get busy if there is not enough people to cover shifts but instead of having us looking like we lost, at least acknowledge we standing there. As she making our orders a co-workers walks up to tell her she is leaving for 2 months YEA I heard the convo because she stop dressing our pizza to talk to this young lady and then gives her a hug with gloves on and directs herself back to dressing our pizza. Before she touch anything i ask her to change her gloves and she did but her attitude got worse. The couple behind us was whispering if they should continue to dine there which is bad because it was now becoming a domino affect on customers. The guys that she pass the pizza down the line to was no better, they acted as if MOD was running low on toppings my husband said its still unlimited toppings right? But one thing i want to point out is 4 amazing workers that we dont mind giving tips to is David, i think his name is Ahmad he has little twist in his head, IZZy and This other young lady. I believe they work during the week or maybe they was off today besides IZZy. ALL of our pizza's was burnt. Had of we dine in we would have ask for our money back. Pizza is great, but customer service not so much. I had a terrible experience on Sunday, February 5th. The woman working at the end of the line where you add sauce was extremely disrespectful and rude. We asked for a sauce on top of the pizza after previously saying no since we asked a family member if they wanted and they had a change of thought. Didn’t think it was that serious! When I walked back to the counter to get the other pizzas we ordered, we overheard the woman talking bad about us to her coworker. Over a sauce? Really. I have worked in the restaurant industry before and would have never made a comment the way she did. I did not cause a scene, but it was extremely rude and unnecessary for her to say those things. Unfortunately this isn’t the first time the customer service isn’t up to par. Hopefully they start working on their mission statement and customer service company wide.
