My husband picked up cream chocolates for our anniversary. The chocolates with Valentine's colors with nonpareils tasted old and somewhat stale. The creams didn't have much taste and I was completely disappointed. The creams were way too sweet and didn't have any real taste other just pure sugar. One of the creams that was somewhat yellow in color actually had a soap after-taste. I've never turned down chocolates (or candy ever) and I definitely threw out a bunch that I tried. Nuts, because they're not cheap. I'm never picky with my sweets, as he usually picks up the CVS Whitman Sampler, but these did not impress. Amazing quality products, Delicious handmade fudge & chocolates hand dipped in small batches so product is always fresh, and Excellent tasting. Friendly family owned business, Excellent and friendly customer service, Very Clean, and well stocked shelves. Everything a candyshop should be, the chocolate is so fresh and creamy, fudge is made in their copper kettle. Fully stocked Jelly Belly bins for those of you who love gourmet jelly beans. Went into the store with my heart set on fudge. My grandmother had suggested the place a few years back. Got 1 pound of 1/2 pumpkin & 1/2 vanilla. Got home today and took first bite - tasted like soap. There were some squares that tasted ok while most tasted like soap.
