We've been to this location twice so far.. The first time was for a late lunch. We sat at the bar because it was a Saturday and the restaurant was quite busy and we didn't want to wait to be seated. My wife wanted their French onion soup and a filet. The soup was amazing as usual, but my wife's steak (she asked for medium well, as you may or may not know, that means it's supposeto be pink on the inside), it came out burned to a crisp. I was surprised and horrified at the same time. I was about to return it. But... my wife refuses to let me return food to any restaurant kitchen out of fear of it being messed with. Aside from thw fact that I used to work in a restaurant as a cook; She has seen and has shown me some videos of people messing with people's food because some people are and can be completely overbearing and assholes to servers. So her Flo's Filet was fed to my dogs.
The second time was a different story. Wait time aside (45 minutes). The service was awesome. I wish I could remember our servers name he was simply amazing. The place was buussyyyy... and as I watched him, he was very attentive to all of his tables. On point with drink refills, he kept checking on us to make sure everything was all good.
This little complaint is for management... when someone orders a specific cut of steak, they should get that. As mentioned, I used to work in a kitchen. I know the difference between different cuts of steak. When someone orders a Ribeye on the bone, they shouldn't be given a Sirloin on the bone... They cook and eat/chew differently. A ribeye is so much more tender and easier to chew and should be marbled with fat. A Sirloin, on the other hand, is more dense, is much leaner, and a little harder to chew. Just because they left the bone, it doesn't make it a Ribeye. Especially for the price. There is a big difference. So, I hated to pay for that Sirloin under a Ribeye price.
My Ribeye was either the toughest Ribeye ever or someone tried to pull a fast one. Again, my wife asked me not to send it back because she didn't want people messing with her food.
Regardless of these steak issues, we'll be back because my wife likes French Onion Soup, and I hate making it. I'll try again with my Ribeye and hopefully She'll get her Flo's Filet cooked correctly next time.
Still love you guys though!
As always, don't take what I have to say as word of god.... go try it yourself and enjoy yourself... whether you have a good or bad experience. The whole point is to enjoy yourself and the company...
Read moreHaven’t been here in about 30 years and live in the area, but in a whim decided to give it a try for a late lunch. Busy but not overly crowded so we were met by our server Taryn and seated right away. Inside was nicely decorated with a Cowboy/Western motif. This is a restaurant that you’ll find alot of families at or the Senior set ( yours truly) It’s not where you’ll see a lot of people out in a date. It’s good basic food at a reasonable price. Lots of good artifacts and paintings of the Old West everywhere. There is a bar side with some booths and the main dining area again almost all booths but some tables. Taryn was very pleasant and took our drink orders right away. She returned promptly with them a loaf of warm fresh bread that was very good. Our salads and dinners came out promptly with the proper time allowed between them. All entrees come with either a garden or Caesar salad. Both of which were pretty big for a side salad. Entrees also come with one side as well. The Mrs had the cheese crusted chicken with a sweet potato. She said they were both delicious and she was pleasantly surprised by the size of both. So much that she ended up taking half of it home. I had the Ribeye (no bone) with seasoned fries. My steak was flavorful, juicy and very tender. I couldn’t have enjoyed more. You would probably get a thicker ribeye steak at Grill 23 or similar steakhouses, but you pay twice as much for it. The fries had a nice flavor as well. As we were both full there was no room for dessert. We both enjoyed our experience and can safely say it won’t be another 30 years before we...
