Just an ordinary want a be western store in a town that comes alive twice a year. Walk in that place any day of the week. Same stuff in the exact same place. Funny, when 75% of the population of Pendleton is on snap and benefits that they would charge prices that the citizens can't afford. It's all about the Round Up. Ship the homeless population out of the area. Change out the menu's, charge twice as much fo everything and let home owners charge $200 a night to park a rv on their lawn or rent out their houses for a couple of thousand for the week. Over all. I am a travel nurse and I love to try new places in new cities. I knew I wanted a good steak in Pendleton, and this place was recommended many times. Definitely lives up to its reputation. The restaurant and store are beautiful. The ribeye is amazing, cooked to perfect temperature, excellent balance of fat. Great beer on tap, green beans cooked just right, and the service is impeccable. As a longtime server myself, I know the cadence and everything arrived perfectly staggered. Absolutely unprofessional! Took 3 months to complete a simple cleaning and charged $200 OVER the quoted price. General Manager refused to return my phone calls and kept pushing it off to the Saddle Shop. Woodrow was full of excuses but no action.He was sitting playing games on his computer whenever we checked in numerous times to see if the work had been completed. So sad to see what this Pendelton institution has become. Deeply regret doing business there at all but the saddle was a vintage Hamley and we wanted to have it cleaned there.
