I am addicted to matcha tea šµ I drink it daily. I saw a review of Bear Fruit Bowls and they mentioned how delicious their matcha is so I decided to try them out, especially because I had never had a fruit bowl before either. Talk about a cute little spot, a shady tree filled courtyard with a cute converted bus serving different size fruit bowls with fresh toppings and coffee and tea. I decided on a bowl with acai, almond butter, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, mangos and granola with a honey drizzle. I usually only drink my matcha tea hot but I decided to try an iced matcha latte with whole milk instead. It was love at first bite with the fruit bowl, the acai consistency reminded me of sherbert, a little tart and extremely delicious. Combined with the almond butter, fruits and honey, I now have a new obsession! The iced matcha latte was creamy and also delicious, I'm soo glad I decided to try it a different way. I'm soo happy to have a new (to me) delicious way to eat fruit and I am really looking forward to trying a different combination! I went back recently and had a mixture of acai and blue spirulina. It's definitely my new favorite...

Bear Fruit is my favorite acai place in Pensacola! Iāve explained more in my other Pensacola Beach location review, but I wanted to write one about their downtown location as well!!
Atmosphere: Parallel to Palafox Street, the space is basically in the heart of downtown Pensacolaš«¶š¼ You get to order your acai and coffee from their food truck thatās surrounded by a cute, brick courtyard that holds their seating area. Itās a great space to sit on a sunny, slow day! Service: The girls that were working here the day that I went were friendly and busy with the number of people that were coming by! Menu items: Same as their Pensacola Beach location, you can order their Mini Bear, Little Bear, and Big Bear sizes (I still think the size names are the cutest!) and build your bowl from the base up. I prefer to add a coffee to go with my bowlāfavorite base options are the acai and coconut!
If you love the Bear Fruit Pensacola Beach location, then youāll love the downtown location as well! Now you donāt have to drive out of mainland Pensacola to get some bear...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGeez, this place is nummy and cute! I'm not quite sure how or why acai got all the love for making a smoothie bowl. I'm not fond of it so when I see other options I get excited. I had a coconut bowl and it was like eating ice cream. My daughter had one, too, that was a seasonal special. It might have been dragon fruit which she really liked - not too sweet. I returned with my husband who's never had one before, and he liked it. Calling it a nice "treat" because... he thought it was like eating ice cream :) Their coffee is pretty good, too. We tried their cold brew - regular, one with cold foam and the coconut one. All good. The worker was very nice, polite and accommodating to any special request (me - I like putting pb or almond butter on top). The location is adorable. A cute little courtyard with pretty flowers surrounding it. There are a couple of other locations - on the beach and I saw one in Perdido Key. Have to say, this one in downtown...
