Brought my beautiful antique bohemian garnet ring to them for repair after a couple prongs had broken and a stone fell out. Thought I was making a good choice choosing them based off a few reviews I read and the advertising on their site about their laser cutting technology. The store is nice inside, beautiful displays, and the first woman we dealt with was very nice. However, upon picking up the ring, I was really upset to find that the work done on my ring was very sloppy. I do appreciate that they did a good job on color-matching the new stone to the rest, as genuine bohemian garnet color is hard to match since they are rare to find anymore, but the metal work on the prongs was atrocious. They had replaced the prongs, but gotten metal melted onto 4 other stones, ruining them. I was kind of shocked that they handed my ring back to me in this condition, like they thought the work that was done was acceptable. I absolutely hate being one to complain, but half way back to my car I decided that this needed to be fixed. I took the ring back inside and after the woman had talked to several people inside the office, she told us they would be replacing the stones with metal on them for free. This was nice of them to do, but it would have really gone a LONG way with me if the manager had come out and spoken to us and offered an apology for essentially ruining even more stones on a family heirloom. This did not happen however.
So it takes them about a month to fix my ring for a second time, I just picked it up today . At first glance I really thought it looked great, they did a great job cleaning it and everything is really sparkling. I get home and give it a closer look and realize that I can pick out all the stones they replaced because they aren't even the same cut as the original stones! How do you not even notice that?? Or how do you not care enough to match the cut?? Severely disappointed in the service I received on both occasions, and I truly feel like I paid to have my ring ruined even further. To top it all off, I asked for them to return the stones that they ruined because the ring has a lot of sentimental value to me (passed down to me from my grandmother who was actually from Bohemia, and instead of getting 4 stones back (albeit, ruined), I only received one.
I can't speak for other peoples experiences, but I will NEVER be taking any jewelry that is precious to me...
Read moreExceptional customer service before, during and after the purchase. I've been dealing exclusively with Jewelers Trade Shop (JTS) for over 20 years now due to their impeccable care. I've had them make from scratch new and also repair antique jewelry, incredible perfection and attention to the finest detail. My family from out of state even brings/sends pieces to be repaired here at JTS. I have highly and will continue to recommend JTS to friends and family. If you're looking for a "REAL" jeweler look no further than Jewelers Trade Shop. Best wishes, Dave g. An update to the previous review, Corbett and Connie are absolutely two of the most trustworthy, dedicated, knowledgeable and dependable jewelers I've ever met. I wanted to sell some estate jewelry. They recommended I sell it on consignment, which would take a little longer but, would provide the better profit. They were right as usual. I then inherited a lot of coins which they went through one at a time giving me a very fair price for. I never questioned for a moment whether the value offered would be agreeable. Their honesty is beyond reproach. They adhere to sound auditing principles demonstrating reasonable cost effectiveness for us the customer. Corbett and Connie display numerous positive character traits which brings out the best in them as well as the customer they are cooperating with. I could go on and on about how great Jewelers Trade Shop is but, I know you're getting the proper impression. I highly recommend JTS to everyone regardless of their budget or jewelry needs. They treat customers as if they're family with dignity and respect. Very Sincerely, David...
Read moreGrowing up, I always heard the story of my father buying my mother's engagement ring from Corbett Davis, Jr. at Jeweler's Trade Shop in Pensacola. When the time came for my own engagement plans, my father and I visited JTS.
The development of this business and store through the years is such a cool story - beautiful shop, awesome staff, and a business that has been passed down through generations. After seeing several options on rings, I asked Corbett if it would be possible to have a ring custom-made after my wife-to-be saw an extremely unique one she adored. He assured me it could be done! I finished college in Pensacola and moved to Tennessee, but Corbett III seamlessly kept up communication and helped me through the process. The final result was stunning, and the price was incredibly affordable. We purchased our wedding bands here as well!
A couple months ago, my wife wanted to have her ring re-sized (it was a little small initially, my fault!), and Corbett III was a quick email away, sent me a shipping label, and had the ring re-sized, polished to a shimmer, and back to my home in DAYS. My wife and I are a month away from our 3rd wedding anniversary, and absolutely love the experience we've had working with Corbett and the team at JTS. Would absolutely recommend everyone I know to these great...
