Normally, I have had very good experiences at the ABC Warehouse location in Sandusky, Ohio. However, after my experience last night with them, I will never buy anything from that store ever again! The salesman that I dealt with was just plain weird and bizarre. That was the first bad experience. We bought a mattress set, but during the checkout process, we signed up on the lease program and that's when everything went awry. I don't know what the salesman did during the process on the computer, but the leasing company took money out of my checking account and ABC Warehouse had no record of a transaction on there end in their computers, and therefore could not deliver the products. I understand computer glitches happen, but what bothered me the most about it, is just before I left the store, they offered no apologies and no regrets over what had happened. The only thing I got was the salesman trying to defend himself. They said they would take care of it the next day, indeed they did call the leasing company but they acted like they were bothered buy me wanting to have the situation resolved and still no apologies or regrets. However, on the other hand, the leasing company apologized more than two times over what had happened and it wasn't their fault. The management did not seem to care when the problem was going on at the store and I felt virtually ignored and taken for granted. What an utter lack of care and customer service on their part! I instead went a couple doors down and bought a mattress set from Crane's Mattress and got a better deal and lower payments, and the salesman...
Read moreI bought a 75” LG to replace my 65” 4 days ago. While there the employee dropped the tv bringing it out from the back. They unpacked the tv to ensure there was no external damage, which there wasn’t. I got the tv hooked up and have been having issues the whole time, restarting randomly and going in between different inputs. I called the store today to get an exchange as it had only been three days and they dropped the tv at the store. The employee told me there was nothing they could do and I would have to contact the warranty center. I called the number she gave me three times and it just keeps ringing. I should not have to jump through hoops to get a replacement for a tv I spent a lot of money on and that the store dropped.
EDIT: After my review I was contacted by Rich, the store manager. I was at work at the time so I asked my wife to call him back, so she did. While on the phone Rich was rude and cursing on the phone. He told her that he wanted me to change my review and then he would exchange the tv if I re-package the tv and take it back to Sandusky to swap them out while making her feel like he was inconvenienced by having to talk to her. I did as he said, and took the tv back. Once we were on our way out of the store he finally approached me and said “Sorry you weren’t happy and I still want you to update your review.”
So here is your update Rich. I will not be doing business with ABC Warehouse in the future due to this overall really...
Read moreBuyer Beware: I purchased a warranty when buying a GE refrigerator in May 2023. In August 2024, the repair estimate was such that ABC replaced the refrigerator. I was glad I purchased the FIVE year warranty in 2023 but.... It turns out purchasing an extended warranty from ABC warehouse does NOT mean you are actually covered for five years from the original purchase. The warranty DOES NOT carry over to the replacement refrigerator and based on the experience of it having the equivalent of a $1200 parts and labor repair needed after 14 months (2 months past original mfg warranty), I had no choice but to purchase another $326 warranty (after tax). In other words, the FIVE year warranty effectively lasted only 1.2 years!!!!!
Additionally, when I purchased my TV from them, there was an offer to give me money for my old TV (I can't remember, but I think this coincidentally was $300). I wanted to take them up on this, but was told they would be able to credit me once the next years model came out within a month and the price dropped. That never happened, so they screwed me there too.
I'd give one star, but to their credit, they acted fast when my 14 month old GE Refrigerator somehow managed to completely defrost my freezer overnight. Note that the tech reported the only error code read in was the ice maker being turned off when I discovered 1/2 cup of water in the ice maker. No door open warnings, no temp warnings. Just me turning off...
