My family and I usually love going to Golden Corral. However, this location was the worse one we've been to by far. The first issue we encountered was the fact that they didn't do lunch prices during the weekend, which is strange considering other locations we've been to has never done that before. It seemed like a money grab to us. The second problem we ran into is our waitress didn't get us our drinks until after we were there for 20+ minutes. And the lady who ended up getting us our drinks wasn't even our waitress, she noticed we hadn't gotten served yet and got us our drinks since our waitress hadn't. There was also a robot going around i think to collect dishes? But it kept running into people and tables. I don't know if they have that so the wait staff doesn't have to clear tables but the robot was more of a nuisance than anything. Lastly, the food itself was poor. The only thing my family and I said was really good and enjoyable was the dessert. The chocolate chess pie was delicious, I've never had anything like it before. Having said that though, all the savory food was lacking. Most of it was cold, the steak no matter what temp was chewy, and since this location doesn't do lunch, they only had certain items available. The items that they did have they didn't keep stocked. Read moreTried Golden Corral in my city last night And have overall a bad experience there. I went with my girlfriend and her son around dinner time 6-2-19. When we first walked up to the counter to purchase our buffet the lady asked us how many and the age of my girlfriends son. We answered both question and then she began to ask another question which we couldn’t hear clearly because it was dinner time and a bit busy/loud entire the restaurant. I politely said excuse me and the last abruptly yelled “WHAT TO DRINK” in a overly excessive and unfriendly tone. I was very shocked and had paused for a minute to look at my girlfriend because I couldn’t believe she said it the way she did. Anyways i shrugged it off and I kindly responded to the drinks that we wanted and we went to our seats. After being seated we went up to the buffet to grab plates and noticed most of the plates were still very wet from being washed and still had food particles and smears on them. It took me about 4-5 plates to grab one decent one which i still had to rub off with a napkin. Also most people on the buffet were doing the same thing, shuffling through plates to find one decently cleaned one. I started by grabbing a few sides including corn, mash potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and a few other ones. All of the sides were pretty awful and bland. I am not a picky eater and understand most buffet food is frozen and microwaves but the food was almost unable to beat eaten. Also the silverware was dirty and smeared like the plate. The only reason I gave two stars was because the steak was good and the guy cooking the steak was very friendly and easy to approach.
