Olive Garden Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Perkins Township

When your here your family, only if you look like them. I am an Italian American and spent my entire life loving Olive garden. My family came to great wolf lodge near by to celebrate my 8 yr old son's bday and mine. I chose olive garden for my b'day dinner as it's nostalgic and has many memories of good times throughout my life. I signed up for seating for 6 online ahead of time where it started 0 mins anyways. We arrive and if looks could kill from the hostess they would have. It was like undercover boss seeing how young Karen's behave. I recently started to wear a hijab/Muslim head scarf and her hate and disgust was steaming off her. Their is no other explanation for her haste and her facial dissatisfaction along with the manager who kept side eyeing me every time she came up to the front. She was short with her words and rude as if she was talking down to me. She tells me it's a 20 min wait, and I replied oh online said 0 wait time and she damn near rolled her eyes at me. No one was in the waiting area! 2 other big groups were taken back before us that came in after us as we waited for over 40 mins. Finally we start to walk back to see over 8 tables, just from what I could see of blatantly available tables for 6 ppl. I was so offended and realized what was going on but it was my bday so I wasnt going to let it get ruined. Our server was nice but the food was horrible, Calamari was sickeningly salty like we got the bottom of the freezer bag, the Italian pasta bday dish I ordered tasted like soy sauce. The food took forever to come out at different times and the waiter kept apologizing. We told them we are celebrating my son's bday and they just dropped a piece of cake off at the end of the table lk we ordered a dessert. He is 8- No happy birthday singing to him, no choc mints at the end!? I don't know what kind of olive garden this is but it was the most disgusting behavior and low quality I have ever experienced or witnessed. It's sad to see how hateful and judgemental hostess was towards someone who choses to be modest. I never judged or gave their staff any disrespect, although their attire was seemingly unprofessional with her breasts popping out and wearing basically nylons as pants. I expect respect and I treat others the way I want to be treated. I will never return to this olive garden or any other one which is truly disheartening. I came there Tuesday 9/07/2021. When I arrived I was signing in with the greeter. She said it would be a 25 minute wait with empty tables everywhere. One couple was waiting infront of me. I saw the bar 5 feet away was empty. So I told the greeter I would wait at the bar, my girl wasn't there yet anyway. She said I needed to give her my phone number. I said I'll be right there. Yo don't need my number. I sat at the bar and ordered a double with splash of coke. I got a full glass of ice and tasted like flat pop. Didn't complain but wasn't happy. My girl shows and sat with me. Got her a tea. Waited another 15 or 29 minutes and they say us in a booth in the bar! It took.the bar tender 25 minutes to serve me a beer. With only one other customer at the bar. So we order our food. Nothing to right home.about but the bill arrives 45$$ and some change. I had 100 dollar. Ill.and paid with that. When the very young waitress returned with my change it had 3, 5s and the rest was 1s! So someone told her to do that. My mom was a waitress all my life. That's a game they play with.customers when thet.dont like them. Well I already had an 8 dollar type setting on the table. Efore she returned. So if your looking for really expensive weak drinks and terrible service with 50 dollar bills for your change, then your in luck! I found the perfect shot hole to go too. This location has ALOT of issues against it. We arrived on a Saturday night after 8:30. The restaurant was not busy but was told it would be a 10 minute wait. Was sat without silverware. We placed our orders. The salad was brought with just 2 big plates not 4. We still had not silverware. We told our server we needed silverware again and she was suppose to go get it. We sat and waited for over 15 minutes. My husband went up to get some and he was informed they didn't have any right then. The salad had very little dressing. 1 of the chicken fettuccine pasta dishes pasta was so dried out it was beyond acceptable. When we asked for the manager and showed her the difference her response was unacceptable and asked if our friend wanted to keep the chicken while she went to get fresher pasta. Her customer service needs to be addressed as she is very bland and we feel she is only there for a paycheck. Our server was forgetful as we had asked for more soup and salad and she brought just soup and had to ask for the salad again.
