This was by far the most terrible experience Iāve ever had with this establishment. Sebastian, the cashier was absolutely unacceptable. He had a horrible attitude from the start. Sebastian then had an attitude that he had to get up from his CHAIR that the (Aldi cashiers sit in) and go check the price on an item. When he returned with the price he mumbled under his breath what the price was, due to the fact that he was mumbling I could not hear what price he said. He then proceeded to say with such force and attitude āI didnāt say that I SAID $4.97ā. I found this extremely rude and unprofessional. After this, I decided that I did not want to purchase one of my items that was rung up, so I simply asked him to take off that item. Once again, he gave an attitude and said thee most unprofessional, anti-black, racially motivated, thing Iāve ever heard from a cashier. Sebastian stated, and I quote, āOkay you can go head and swipe your food stamp card againā. I was beyond stunned. This statement was said to embarrass me in front of the other customers and to belittle me. I told him that there was no need to say that and he proceeded to act oblivious and innocent to his wrongdoing. I asked to speak to his manager. Natalie is his manager and she stated that āAldi has no tolerance for Sebastianās behavior, and that this behavior is unacceptable and not something that should represent the storeā. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI think this was my last trip to Aldi. I was there with a gift card I received as reimbursement due to their excessive overcharge on my last trip. I bought 1 bag if onions and was charged for 30 bags! It took, all and all, about one month of 4-5 phone calls and two mailings to rectify the overcharges of that trip. This trip I was diligently watching my charges and after catching a couple mistakes and questioning a few things that were not mistakes, I felt I was overwhelming my checker so I backed off. Only to look the receipt over in my car (this happens enough to where I've learned to check it in the parking lot rather than at home) and discover I was charged twice for a $16.+ ham. I was given my refund without incident but to be honest I didn't want to go back into the store. I had just loaded my groceries in the heat and that was about the last thing I wanted to do. Especially since I had been proactive in trying to prevent it from happening in the first place. I really like the prices and am very satisfied with the quality of most of their selection so I'm disappointed to stop shopping there. I just don't like all of that he extra work required on my part to not be overcharged. I asked her a couple of questions regarding some items and the way she answered was very cold and short. Very bad personality. If she hates her job that much maybe she shouldn't be working there/with the public. Then, she was called to cashier and guess who got to be checked out by the wicked witch of the west? That's right, me. I let this girl go in front of me because she only had 1 item and I had like, a lot! I thought, ok, I'll give her another chance...bad mistake. I did have to get out of line to get one more item that was like 3 feet away, by the time I got back to the line she was THROWING everything on the belt and when she was done throwing everything on the belt and started to ring me up, she was THROWING everything in the cart!
