These guys are great! The logic board in my laptop died, just days after my online backup service subscription expired...go figure! A zit-faced teenager representing a company that I'll refer to as the Seek Guad, quoted me $250 to extract the data off my fully functional HDD and transfer it to DVD's. I somewhat entertained the idea, but opted against it upon seeing the perplexed look on said representative's face when I showed him the disk, which I pulled from the computer. I don't think he'd ever seen one outside of an entire computer... Additionally, they wanted 3-5 days to do this procedure.

I go to Mainstreet Computers. Granted, the place isn't as nice looking as a big-box store, but hey...there's certainly noway static electricity can build up! It reminds me of what Steve Wosniak (sp?) and Bill Gate's garages looked like in the late 70's in all those documentaries. Regardless...there is a cool dog there, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

For $100 less than what the Quad Squeeks quoted me, I got all the old files from my HDD transferred to an external 500 GB hard disk. Additionally, it took 3 hours. Reasonable and fair priced!

Not only did I get my files back, I also got a re-usable external hard drive out of the deal! A MUCH better deal than the other place.

I brought my computer in a week before Thanksgiving and have never recieved a phone call from Charles. I always have to be the one to initiate a call to see whats going on with my computer. Half the time he has no idea which computer is mine the other half he tells me he has stepped out and is not at the store. I had to start calling him on my gf phone because he stopped answering my calls. He's a really nice guy and his prices are fare. I've had my computer worked on by him before and we had the same communication problem where he never called me, but it didn't take anywhere near this long to fix. I would understand if the part he needed was taking a long time to get to him or he was backed up on previous orders, but this was never communicated, and if I had known he had previous orders that had him backed up for months then I never would have brought my computer here. I'd give a better rating if he just called and kept the customer up to date with...

Awesomeness. Finally someone that knows everything about computers, friendly, knowledgeable, beyond helpful. Did everything how it's supposed to be done - correctly. If you need someone that knows the ins and outs of computers. This is your man. Do not waste your money on tech support on the phone, the Geek squad at Best Buy or anywhere else.
