These guys are absolutely awesome and a must visit. I have put so many people on to this spot. I live a few blocks away and am here frequently and everyone is so friendly, welcoming, and just all around good people. It's hard not to love this place on personality alone.
Their food is amazing. They have a huge selection of food and there is not a single item on their menu that I have tried that I didn't think was top quality. They really take the time to make great food with high quality ingredients. One thing I love is that they don't rush the fried foods so they always come out perfectly crispy and delicious. Great cheesesteak, burger, and fried chicken sandwich. Think Wawa, but the food is actually good.
On top of that, they have a grocery selection which has anything you might need in a pinch, eggs, bacon, produce, even a frozen food section. Big selection of canned and bottle beverages as well. All of which is high quality When I don't want to walk all the way to the grocery store to grab a single item, you'll find me at 3J's.
Last up, they have a surprisingly large selection of craft beer. It's really a one stop shop that acts as a hub for everyone in Fishtown who was wise enough to ever walk into this place. If I could give it 10...
Read moreI was on my way to take the trolly, and stopped in to get a coffer. As someone of Cuban descent, I live for coffee. In any event, I went in for a coffee and a bottle of water, and soon realized the cup was not at all hot. I informed the woman at the cash register, and she offered to make a new batch of coffee, if I had the time. Even if I had not had the time, I would have said "Yes.". Truly very good customer service. There are several intriguing food items that would guarantee my return, but being able to drink a freshly-brewed coffee totally guaranteed my return, the next time I visit...
Read moreI really wish I could like this place but I just can't. I live in the area and have come here for breakfast several times. The wait for food is always 10-15 min, and one time they didn't even have any coffee! But today was the straw that broke the camel's back. I ordered a smoothie for the first time, with almond milk. Not because I'm fancy, but because I'm lactose intolerant. It was not made with almond milk. Without getting into the gory details, suffice to say that 3 J's very nearly ruined my afternoon in a horrifically humiliating and public way, and absolutely ruined my evening, which I've had to cancel. They have lost a...
