Really didn't dig the vibe here, and I've been going to bars of all kinds for about 5 years now, if not longer, in big groups and intimate ones. I've been dying to check out Garage because of the skeeball, but honestly I rather go to D&B or Round 1 if I want arcade games. They do have a wide selection of beers, but that's about it. Not many places to sit, and standing is just awkward. This place reminds me of your typical sports bar.
I felt very unwelcome here, and my one friend would not get admitted in because his license was from New Jersey. He even had to show his Temple ID for proof that it was him. Like are you serious?
This place isn't a club, so I don't know why you're going through MY bag and taking out my UNOPENED bottle of Poland Spring water. Sure I could go up to the bartender and ask for water, if I needed some, but what if I'm on my way home from a night and need my water and nothing else is open? No common sense there. I wouldn't drink it on your property anyway. It was obvious it wasn't open or resealed. We all have eyes! But then again, the bouncer just seemed like he was miserable with his life.
I will keep myself to every other bar in the area besides this one. I'm sure people like this place, but it's not the...
Read moreUpdated full review: A security guard stormed into the bathroom screaming at my friends and I because one of my friends was holding closed a broken door of the bathroom stall for my partner. They found this inappropriate so instead of saying that they came screaming over the stalls yelling aggressively at us. I exited my stall first and was just in complete shock of why I - an autistic person - was being verbally assaulted while trying to use the restroom. The staff member continued yelling about two people in the stall instead of allowing us to just use the bathroom and leave OR allow them to explain that the door was broken and needed to be held shut. As someone who worked in bars their entire life the staff member here was an embarrassment to the industry and you should be ashamed of yourself for defending their actions. I don’t leave bad reviews lightly but this was absolutely unacceptable and you need to reevaluate the way you treat people. ALSO - FIX THE STALL, and none of this would have ever...
Read moreTried to go here to celebrate my friend and my 22nd birthday (we’re 5 days apart) and the bouncer at the door let my friend in but then asked me for a second form of id and kept comparing mine to my friends. After I gave her my school id she turned me away and said “it’s not happening tonight”. What? I asked her why and she refused to explain. I pulled up my Instagram and showed her my 22nd birthday post and even my high school graduation post from 2020. Her response was “I have an Instagram too and I can lie on it”. I then offered to call the cops and have them confirm my id is real and she said they won’t do anything and she can refuse me service. This lady has no idea what she’s doing and she was extremely rude. I asked for a manager but I was basically shoved out of the door. Horrible experience and horrible way to try to celebrate our 22nd birthday....
