Arch Street United Methodist Church — Local services in Philadelphia

I was homeless 3 times in my life. I'm currently in my third experience with homelessness. In the past, this church was important to me and I plan on talking about that in my autobiography one day. Beautiful experiences in my past with this church. The year 2018. My experiences that year here were magical. It'll be mentioned in my autobiography. But presently in 2023, this church is not good to me as a homeless man and my present experiences with this church will heavily be left out of my book. What I presently experience here as a homeless man with this church is BS. Ladies and gentlemen, if you are homeless or not, whenever you hear the word "FREE," it is sometimes a good idea to run the other way. Because the word "FREE" means you have to put up with BS to get the free item(s) and/or service(s). This church presently gets a "0" because of their treatment of homeless people: Free clothes that are too tight or too loose, rude staff members of all ethnicities, staff members constantly changing one another's words to us and more. 1 homeless person and 1 poor person who's not homeless may slip through the cracks and get what they need and want from the church here. But most homeless people and poor people who aren't homeless won't when visiting here. This church gets a 0. Remember, that 0 is only for their treatment toward those seeking help but not toward the church as a whole. I do presently visit but my views about this church...

It grieves me to give this group of people (it is not a church as they teach opinions and reject the clear teaching of scripture ) zero stars . If they are on the right side of a moral issue (as they are in reaching out to the poor ), it is purely an accident. Their pastor is an unrepentant heretic , a blind person leading the blind . They are more accurately defined as the most liberal arm of the democratic party . The Jesus they talk about is an idol of their imagination . Go to Tenth Presbyterian just a few blocks away and you will see (by God's grace) what a true church of Jesus Christ looks like. I have been praying for the repentance of Mr.Hynicka since I saw him denying the clear teaching of scripture several months ago...

It appears they refuse to do any kind of exterior renovations to the church building’s exterior, which is an incredible architectural asset to the surrounding community. There has been scaffolding around the base which is now falling apart for at least a decade. They recently put netting around the spire presumably to catch falling debris. They also play incredibly loud outdoor music that can be heard by those of us live nearby.

Arch St Methodist seems to have total disregard for the safety and well being of their neighbors....
