It started off great. Me and 7 of my friends having dinner for my birthday celebration. Being a server myself, I look for things certainly. Our server, Jennifer, right off the bat was very bland, stand off-ish, and didnt seem like she wanted to be there. First, she gave a rush to one of my guests because shes a vegetarian and she wanted her to basically put in her order right then and there, I didn’t understand why my friend had to rush. She took our drink orders and most of us went up to the salad bar, when we returned our drinks were on the table. Where I serve, no drinks should be on the table if none of the guests were there. Anyway, one of my friends who was sitting next to me is sober, he ordered a mocktail (CleanV Cocktail) and when we got back to the table we were all confused on what was what, none of the drinks were in the right spot. I had my friends drink that was sitting across from me 2 seats down. My friend who ordered the mocktail and the other next to him ordered the same (just one mocktail and the other had alcohol) however we were then told later on the drink in the coupe was non alcoholic and what youd normally put the drink with alcohol in it was the cleanV. It made no sense, and my sober friend broke his sobriety due to the lack of service. As soon as that happened he got up and went to the bathroom for a long period of time. When a manager came to speak with us, she had no remorse. They were saying anything and everything to make us look like we were stupid, maybe your server should be placing the drinks down as the guests is at the table repeating back what it is. THAT is service. Calling it a “personal preference” which was just straight up rude. They did nothing to accommodate the situation, the service was absolutely terrible all around, except for the one server who brought us our waters, I wish we caught a name but she was the only light me and my friends had. Ive been here multiple times, and my birthday dinner was...
Read moreMan. I never thought I’d see the day where I leave a one star review for Fogo De Chao but here we are. This is a review from someone who has ate at Fogo 3-4 times and has loved it up until this experience.
So I began this night hunting for a new bottle of wine. I wanted one of the cellar selects but I did ask the staff for a recommendation TO TRY. The lady proceeded to bring me an $118 bottle to “try”. So i asked to try it and she gave me a sip and I instantly hated it. Asked to send it back knowing I had bought bottles the two precious times. Upon asking for another bottle she proceeded to tell me the “sommelier” and he had deemed the bottle “good” and that I had to buy the $118 bottle. I told her I didn’t see how it was my problem when I NEVER asked for that bottle. She then told the sommelier and he came and argued with me for 10 minutes. Upon finishing I asked him about another recommendation she offered and HE HIMSELF TOLD ME SHE WAS WRONG. So he offered me 50% off on the bottle I didn’t like. AFTER arguing with me for close to 20 minutes and ruining my fogo experience.
Upon finishing the bottle I won’t lie, I did politely ask for one of the manager’s number. But then she told the “sommelier” who has studied wine for “five years” and he chased me out of the building saying he was going to find my base and charge me with harassment of his coworker. If telling someone they’re beautiful and you’d like their number is HARASSMENT I’ll gladly go into the electric chair right now. Awful way to treat an ACTIVE DUTY service member I will never, ever return to Fogo. I will warn everyone else I know about this place. Awful.
I spent 15 minutes on this review so thank you for reading. Food was good though shout out to the chefs, you guys always kill it....
Read moreWe had lunch/late brunch here and really enjoyed our experience. The staff were all very nice, extra attentive and checked on us frequently to make sure everything was going well. Most of our table got the full experience with meat, while a couple of us just did the brunch market/salad bar. We also got a few cocktails which were very good, but we were also glad to see some basic beers available, too. The salad bar was a little tough for me as a picky eater, and I had mixed feelings about it being the brunch version rather than the lunch one. The bacon was literally the best thing on the bar, which makes me feel like brunch is worth it. But I had also hoped for it to be a lunch menu so that I could order a plate of meet alongside the market bar. Generally the salad bar is for those who like simple foods, or are a little more adventurous eaters. I enjoyed what I got from there, especially the bacon. The waffles were not very good, but that may have been due to how long they were sitting out/not my style of waffle (so could've just been me!). The meat service was great from what everyone said at our table, lots of variety and everything but the pork offerings were cooked just right and seasoned well. The lamb was notably great. They did not bring a filet mignon around to us, so at the end we had to ask for it and they brought it out, gave one person at our table a great cut and the other person mostly fat - so it seems like in general if you have the chance to ask for what you'd like, they really listen and try to accommodate everyone. Again, waitstaff were all super nice, we were basically waited on the entire time and had someone at our table very frequently. This is definitely a...
