I am so happy I finally found a salon that specializes in nail art! I have been a huge fan of nail art since high school. Now I realize it’s best to find an artist you like, rather than a highly-rated local salon. It was definitely worth going out of my way to work with Deja— and Deja also recommended another artist, Mike. I found Deja on instagram (maybe we have some mutuals, or the algorithm knew I was in Philly and I like Asian and queer content?), and we chatted about what type of manicure would work best for me (I went with GelX extensions), and what kind of nail art I wanted. We shared some inspo photos back and forth so I was confident they understood the vibe I was going for, AND that they could achieve it based on their previous work. This picture is after at *least* a week of growth. I did dishes with no gloves on. I did like five loads of laundry. I showered and used my nails in my hair. Nothing has budged. I feel so powerful. I highly recommend the artists at PeCa’Le salon if you value top quality nail art and want the state-of-the-art in nail technology. Wow. Edit: I recommend making an appointment in advance. I was there on a Saturday (appointment in advance), and people were calling and walking in, but there were only openings much later in the afternoon. This makes sense because there are just a small number of very talented nail techs— it’s not a salon with a dozen people just doing plain nail polish all day. It is worth making an appointment in advance if you want to get the best art, so you can talk to the nail tech about what you want and they can be prepared! Otherwise, why are you even coming? Just my two cents. I got a Gel-X manicure and a plain polish pedicure. Both are doing amazing over a week out.

Such a hidden little gem in the heart of northern liberties. PeCa’Le Salon puts so much time and care towards their services. The owner, Mike, puts immense effort into every small little detail of work. He worked with me regarding the condition of my nails and my lifestyle activities to figure out what would be the best type of set would be for me. I went with a full set with hard gel following his recommendations. I’ve been to plenty of salons around philly and here are just a few of the outstanding features of PeCa’Le salon that I’ve noticed: 1. Mike takes his time to perfect everything: It feels almost like a private client experience rather than walking into your appointment and getting rushed out when another client walks in. You can tell that Mike loves what he does and focuses on perfecting his art. 2. PeCa’Le cares about your nail health. Not just the aesthetics. All the tools are UV sanitized. Mike made sure i was comfortable throughout the whole experience. I usually ALWAYS get really bad irritation around my cuticles after getting my nails done but because Mike takes his time, there wasn’t irritation, damage, or any overfilling symptoms. This is the first time I’ve had my nails done without any irritation after! 3. I walked out with a beautiful full set. There wasn’t any irritating glue sticking my nails to my fingers afterwards or gel stuck to my cuticles. I’m not the most careful person and glad to say it’s been over a week and my nails still look absolutely amazing. Not a single gem has popped off. If you haven’t tried out PeCa’Le salon yet, I highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic experience at PeCa’Le tonight. First, I love that you can book online appointments and there are spots after 6 pm for those who work late. Second, Mike is the most thoughtful and talented nail artist I’ve had in a very long time. Multiple times throughout the manicure, he asked me if I was comfortable, if there was anything that he could do to make the experience better, and was always checking in to see how I’m doing. He was very accommodating in my manicure choice with no attempted upsell, and provided really pleasant conversation during our time together. He has a great entrepreneurial spirit, and I wish him tons of success because he deserves it! I am thrilled because I’ve finally found a nail salon in the neighborhood that meets all my needs Updated review 5/2024 - had a last minute appointment with Deja before my vacation. Awesome experience - Deja made sure I was comfortable the whole time, offered great advice on color selection, and made time to do chrome on my nails even though I didn’t realize I wanted it until I sat for my appointment (so I didn’t book enough time for it originally but was graciously accommodated). Mike as always was also a very amazing host. Awesome place!
