Yudy's Dominican Beauty Salon — Local services in Philadelphia

I usually would go to my regular shop but they are closed on Sunday’s. I called this shop asking for pricing and the person who answered the phone told me it depends on your hair length but the pricing starts at $40. So I get there and it’s 2 ppl waiting for service and 3 ppl under the dryer while 2 ppl are getting serviced. The 1st red flag was that I didn’t like nobody’s hair that was getting serviced. 2nd I told them that I didn’t want to sit under the dryer at all and they sat me under the dryer anyway. 3rd I didn’t get conditioner or my ends clipped and they charged me $50 for a weak a$$ wash and press that I hated badly!!! My hair is not down my back and it wasn’t nappy, it didn’t have glue in it or nothing when I asked why was I being charged $50 everyone acted like they didn’t understand English...

My hair is STILL breaking off from when I went there in JUNE 2020 to get a blowout on my 4A natural hair. tears 😢 Yudy did a great job the first 2 times I went between 2019-2020. But the last time I went, another lady did my hair and burnt it to a crisp. Granted, when I first started going here they had a 3.7 Stars on Google. I'm literally in tears at the breakage I am still experiencing almost a year later. 😢 I worked so hard to grow my hair out and one bad blowout killed it! So my hair is very uneven now, as it continues to break off. 😣 Photo attached.

OMG! The service at Yudy's was so beautiful! I had so much fun and everyone was friendly and had so much joy... Their were kids dancing and singing to the music. This was my first time of many more to come. By the way, I came in with a curly weave and left out with bone straight hair. My hair was done by Georgina.... Fabulous!!!! This is her gift and she loves it....She is detailed and focus on you as a customer and she is very pleasant.
