overall i’ve really enjoyed my experience living at the nest. i think the amount of space is great, bedrooms and living room are spacious. the washer/dryer is low quality but very nice to have. bathrooms are decent. there’s no ventilation in the bathroom though which gets annoying. additionally, my roommates and i are not smokers at all and i’m really sensitive to the smell and our apartment often smelled really bad bc it was coming through the vents from other residents which was very unpleasant. the package room is generally organized but they sometimes lose a package. the security guards are nice, not uber friendly though and often aren’t there or don’t care who gets in. i once saw a bunch of high schoolers casually walk up to the 2nd floor lounge. and when we have friends over sometimes they’ll stop them and give them a hard time but most of the time they’ll let them right in and not say a thing, there’s no in between. additionally, the trash room on our floor was often an absolute mess and nothing would go down the chutes easily and we’d have to come back and try again another day. those are really my only main complaints and they’re all manageable. maintenance is very good at coming quickly when you have an urgent issue and the folks who work in the leasing office are very nice. also for me personally the walk to campus was kinda far but it’s really only like 15 minutes to the bell tower depending on how fast you walk. a lot of students have bikes or electric scooters which i definitely recommend. like i said i definitely enjoyed living here and would certainly recommend it to any temple students looking for off campus housing in an...
Read moreMy experience at the nest for move in was a rollercoaster. My move in date was set and they called me the day before to confirm my move in at 10am. My family and I arrived at the nest with our uhaul ready to move in @ 10am and the unit I was moving into wasn’t accessible or clean. We had to unload all of my personal belongings in the hallway outside the room and Ontop of that the room wasn’t ready to be moved into for another 3 hours. We spoke to building management about the problem and they credited us a certain amount of money for the wait and also gave us money to get lunch in the mean time. The apartment I also moved into wasn’t the apartment layout the leasing office told me I was moving into originally so that was a huge surprise when we walked into the unit. We were also told all utilities are included when signing the lease then to later find out there’s an electrical cap and you have to pay xfinity before they give you a remote to the tv in the living room. Extremely disappointed with how...
Read moreI appreciate how clean and well-maintained the apartments are. Moving in was very straightforward. The building's general manager, Kristie, provided the best customer service: quick to reply to concerns and ensured all my needs were met.
For students, most, if not all, student apartments only allow you to stay there during a semester, and then you have to move out and move back in whenever another semester starts. However, it is not the case here; you can have a yearly lease without the obligation to empty an apartment.
Surrounding area: grocery stores are within walking distance, 5 minutes or so. The street where the apartments are located is elegant and clean, ensuring students' comfort during the stressful semester.
Additionally, they provide free shuttle service for residents so that students can arrive comfortably on campus regardless of the...
