Amc Imax — Local services in Phoenix

For the new Dune movie… I’ve never been to a theater that can butcher a movie like this AMC did with their “iMAX” auditorium… paid for imax tickets for me and the wife and the first thing on the screen says “this is not an imax experience”. Should have left for a refund then and there but we stayed. Next the lights did not dim until 20 minutes into the movie. NOW, all that can be tolerated, but this theater had the WORST speaker system I’ve ever experienced… I have a little hearing loss from my time served in the Army, but this system absolutely destroyed my ears it was so uncomfortably loud because the high frequency range was boosted to high hell for some reason. That high frequency range was emanating from the front screen speakers so loudly that it overtook the surrounding speakers and some dialogue of the movie was difficult to understand. So not only was the power going on and off during the day but I felt horrible for the staff who had to deal with the upset movie goers. Horrible on management's part. The theater had been having problems for days but they were still allowing people in to see their movies only for the power to go out on them. Why let people in?? You guys just made it more of a mess for yourselves and staff to hand out refunds and waste people's time instead of making sure the issue with the power was fixed. $20 ticket, not worth it, very poor experience. Started with concessions out of large popcorn bags Friday night, I can understand Monday or even Sunday after a busy weekend but going into a weekend... next I used the restroom, 3 out of 4 soap dispensers out of soap, paper towel dispenser out, and in the lobby both hand sanitizers empty during a pandemic!!!...finally they smash the showtikes so close together, they wouldn't let people into the theatre until 7 min before the show so I missed out on a lot of the pre show entertainment.
