We were going to yardhouse once a week pretty much. Our go to dishes are the korean steak, fish and chips, pizza, chicken wings, nachos etc.
At first the food was impeccable. Food cooked perfect all the time. Service awesome.
The last few months something changed. Food very inconsistent. Horrible.
We ordered steak med well). Both of ours were rare, very rare. We ate into them thinking maybe it's just the first part because theyre normally perfect but as we kept eating it didn't change so we took them home to cook further. Didn't tell the server because it took forever to get the food. We gave it one more try thinking maybe the cook was new. Asked server to put down med well but please ask them not to do it rare. It was perfect. Next time said the same and it was super rare.
Pizza was perfect about the 6 times we had it. This last time it came out slightly burned. Meaning the cheese was baked into the pizza the sauce was basically non existent with large dried bubbles.
Fish and chips perfect almost the best we've had until last order. Fish was fat very think and the crust just fell right off. Nothing like we had previously.
Same with nachos very dry almost burnt. Cheese baked on to the chips that you can't tell cheese was even on them.
I can go on about the other dishes but it's much the same. Except the chicken wings are the only think that has been consistent.
As far as service. We were seated in the middle back booths a few x. Not in a row. Every time the service was THE WORSE. WE sat there for literally 38 min before anyone came to table. Finally I stood up and was going to the front to ask for another table when a waitress asked if anyone came by yet. We said no. She took our drink orders and food orders. Meanwhile I've watched this guy walk by out table like 10 x no real urgency even had eye contact a couple x and he just kept walking by. The waitress who took our order said our server would be here in a min and she called him over. Same guy that's been walking by without a word. Once we got our food had to wave him down for drink refills and anything else we wanted. Now I order water w my drink in case I can't get service.
Other times different areas service not great then other times service absolutely wonderful. Most restaurants we've been to when you ask for sauce containers to go for your steak sauces they just bring you fresh sauce. It's like pulling teeth to get the right amount of containers even after saying specifically 4 sauce containers and thei come back w one.
This used to be our go to place and belive me we went alot. Then all of a sudden inconsistent got the money. I do not want to go back ever. Husband says let's give it a break and try again maybe they had a fill in Chef for the last few months.
Either way expensive just to hope...
Read moreAs a discerning cat with a taste for adventure, I recently found myself at The Yard House, a bustling eatery in a lively part of town. My human companions were quite eager to dine there, so I decided to join them and see what all the fuss was about.
From the moment I padded in, I was greeted by the friendly staff. They seemed genuinely delighted to see me, even though I’m a cat and not their usual clientele. Their warm smiles and welcoming attitudes made me purr with contentment. Service with a friendly touch is always appreciated, especially by a feline who knows how to be pampered.
The food, oh the food! My humans ordered a variety of dishes, and I must say, the aroma was intoxicating. From the succulent chicken salad to the perfectly crispy truffle fries, every bite looked delectable. I managed to sneak a taste or two, and I was not disappointed. The flavors were rich and satisfying, enough to make any cat's whiskers twitch with delight.
However, I must point out that the place was a tad on the dirty side. It seemed like a busy day, with lots of humans rushing in and out, which probably made it hard for the staff to keep up. A few crumbs on the floor and a slightly sticky table didn't escape my keen feline eyes. But considering the sheer volume of patrons, it's understandable.
Despite the minor cleanliness issue, The Yard House's vibrant atmosphere and delicious offerings made the visit worthwhile. It's a place where the hustle and bustle of the area adds to its charm. Just be prepared for a bit of chaos if you visit during peak hours.
In conclusion, The Yard House is a delightful spot for good food and friendly service. A little tidying up would make it purrfect, but even as it stands, it's a worthy destination for any cat (or human) looking for a satisfying meal in...
Read moreAlways have loved the YardHouse and have been many times. Visited tonight. The waitress was great. Was sad they didn't have any octoberfest steins left, but not a big deal. My food and my wife's was great. The whiskey salmon is awesome. My daughter ordered a hamburger medium rare. After a few bites she noticed it was more Beef Tartare than a hamburger. When the waitress came back my wife nicely just asked if this is their version of medium rare. She said I'm not sure. She did offer to have it remade, but at that point we were done with dinner. The manager eventually came over and was very short with us, curt, and basically kind of rude. He said well I guess you ate enough to like it. Really?? 3/4 of the burger was still there. We said our daughter was really hungry and ate a few bites before she noticed, and didn't like. As a manager of a multi million dollar store for many years, that is not the way to react or treat customers. He finally just scoffed and left. The waitress came back for the final bill and said the manager took the burger off. That's not even what we wanted. We just wanted to know if this is how you cook your hamburgers for future reference. Which we never found out. Nice, but doesn't make up for the manager being so rude and not being empathic or understanding at all. The waitress was great, but obviously not the same after the manager acted that way. Yard house, you need better training of your managers and how to treat people with respect. His passive aggressive behavior was unacceptable. If our daughter wasn't there (who has special needs) he would have got an earful. That would have been too upsetting for her, but he deserved it. Do better. Not sure, even though I love the great beer selection, we will be back. Sadly, I don't remember either of...
