Barry's Ace Hardware does it again. I get home at 5 am from driving Uber all night to find out from my roommate that the water heater has a slow leak. Great, I didn't want to sleep or anything. 🥸
I brought the 3/4 supply line to Barry's and was helped by Ben. He takes one look and says "Wow, I've never seen one of these before." Now I'm thinking my day is about to get much longer and more than likely more expensive.
Fear not weekend home repair DIYers, Ben is to the rescue. He was able to find something similar that worked better than what I had originally. I get back home, hook everything up, and turn the water back on. SUCESS. No leaks. Wait a minute. Now the other line is leaking. Wonderful. Head back to Barry's on Glendale and they are out of the parts I need. I drove to Barry's on 12th Street and Northern. Taylor helped me out with a workaround because they didn't have exactly what I was replacing. Also Becky at the register is a ray of sunshine. So friendly and encouraging. Read moreI was at Barry's True Value today on 12th and Northern and I just want to let you know that I'm a local homeowner and plumber with my own business and I shop there as well as at all the Aces a lot so I've gotten to know the employees pretty well. Christiana has always been so helpfull and just seems to love her job. Thatss one of the reasons i prefer shopping at true value...the customer service is par none but Christina has gone above and beyond every time im in that store. It doesnt matter what i need she is kind knowledgeable and always a great help. I must say she also has gained loads of knowledge since i first met her there about a year ago. She has blossomed there. She saved the day for me today. I had a plumbing emergency and limited time and she was able to get me in and out quickly as well as actually be a calming and positive prescence. When im stressed that is a miracle within itself so it was very much appreciated. I called The next day and it still wasn’t done in fact he told me the person that does it was out on Covid. I went In to pick my frame up and the sup Evette wasn’t helpful at all. She said that someone had started it yesterday and didn’t finish as if that would help me. I waited about 10 min And then they gave me my frame. The frame is bent damaged threw back together based of another ace store rep. She had She didn’t even apologize she didn’t care.
