Buyer Beware: Dicks Lies This location seems to lie to their customers, let me share my experience. Before Christmas I decided to get my son a BMX bike while shopping around, I came across a Dicks ad. I wanted the bike that I was interested in shipped to my house so I could build it myself, I used to work in a bike shop. The Manager told me that I need to order it at the store Kiosk and that she would use her weight as the store manager to waive the $80 shipping and handling, it sounded fishy and I wasn’t ready to buy so I left the store without purchasing the bike. When I got home, the website showed “FREE SHIPPING ON ALL BIKES”. The website also said, “You can return items within 60 days of in-store purchase or delivery of your online order. Please see our Return Policy for additional information. Items purchased in-store or online can be returned to any DICK'S Sporting Goods location nationwide. Items purchased online can also be returned by mail”. So, I ordered the bike online and picked it up at the store. After Christmas I noticed my son was not riding his new bike, he told me it was too hard to ride, and he missed his mountain bike with the extra gears. I got on the bike and noticed it was a little stiff, maybe because it is new, whatever, I wanted to know what my options were so I took the bike back to see what they could do. I was shocked to hear that there is NO RETURN POLICY ON BIKES. So, I asked the kid, “if I tried to return it the day after Christmas in perfect condition, there would be no return”, he said, No Returns this year”. I advised the young man I was going to check what he said and post negative reviews on YouTube and other social media, he said, “sorry, no returns even after one day”! So maybe something changed? Nope. The crazy thing is I wasn’t committed to returning the bike, I just wanted some to know what my options were Returning an Item: You can return items within 60 days of in-store purchase or delivery of your online order.    Read moreChanging my rate from two stars, to five stars. I had taken my racquetball racquet in to be restrung on a Saturday after breaking my strings and was assured it would be done no later than Thursday so I gave them an extra day and called them on Friday to pick it up only to find out it hadn't even been touched yet because even though the technician picked the strings off the shelves for me, they weren't long enough strings to restring my racquet and rather than alert me of this problem or try to find the correct strings they just let it go untouched. I expressed my unhappiness and advised that because of this mishap I would be forced to have to buy a new racket as I had a tournament that weekend and that was the reason I brought it in a week early. The manager found out what happened, that I was told it would be ready by Thursday, then called me to personally offer to replace my racquet with a new one the only drawback it was with the newer model! Plus I would only be chargef for the restring which I found very surprising and an approach that was above and beyond what was necessary and I'm very thankful and grateful for Dick's Sporting Goods to consider this as a solution to the problem so I was able to compete in my...
Read moreHalf the stuff in here isn’t where it belongs, price tags missing no markings of what you are looking at, employees avoiding helping and I was in looking to possibly order a driver testing it out and the equipment kept failing. Instead of helping the guy behind the golf counter gave me an attitude when I decided to try and move things a bit to make it work. I decided nope, no glove, no golf balls nothing from Dicks where the name reflects the golf associates attitude. The older gentleman that started to help me was very nice. Wasn’t his fault the vendors don’t give them much to fit with but being a +2 I can typically figure out what I need based on what I’m given and results on simulator.. was about ready to pull the trigger until shift change at 5pm or wherever this guy came from decided to treat me like a child.. corporate needs to come in and redo this store or close it and let someone else rent the space that’s worth the visit.. I hate that I sometimes have to come here in a pinch but I think I’ll just buy everything from pga superstore or Amazon. Most “deals” are fake and still msrp of...
