Our relationship began with Dogs 24/7 when we were referred to Gilbert Dogs 24/7. We lived in Chandler and our dog Coconut spent a "Spa Weekend" there while we traveled. We received movies of Coconut and her Furry Friends and loved that! When we picked her up, she was exhausted, but happy! And she ate well while staying there-she didn't like to eat when we left her elsewhere. We got an e-report card and everyone helping was wonderful. SOO wonderful, in fact, that when we moved north to Phoenix, near Cave Creek and Deer Valley, we continued to drive all the way down to board Coconut at Gilbert Dogs 24/7. Once we even met the owner Stephen!
Naturally we were THRILLED when Glendale Dogs 24/7 opened! Upon booking online I received a confirmation call from Doug(I hope I have his name correct; he was so polite!) and an opportunity to take Coconut for a Meet and Greet. I called and spoke with Chris, who provided excellent customer service. He helped me with vaccination questions and my inquiry about a discount. He even informed me that if we refer new customers, we can get a credit on our account for future visits. Thanks, Chris!
I have been telling my neighbors and co-workers how super their facility is. When we extended a trip, I mailed the food she eats via Amazon and they let me know immediately when it arrived. Also, they assured me our Coconut was fine. She looks so happy in the videos and we know she is safe. Again, prepare for your dog to be tired after a visit or boarding, but it's because of all the fun your pet had with all the Pooch Pals. Even when discussing Coconut's odd behaviors, such as her starvation strikes and rudeness toward men, the staff is understanding and trained rather than causing us to feel judged. We have paid for a bath at the end of her stay once, and it was so fantastic to bring home a clean, fluffy dog!
UPDATE 7/14/2022: Aloha! We are in Hawaii for the longest trip we have ever taken without our pooch! But we receive updates, and we know she is well cared for and so happy! We need some vacations that are dog-free now and again so we don't depend on her alone to make our trips amazing and memorable Ha! We miss Coconut but we tell EVERYONE she is in wonderful and expert hands! Dogs 24/7 is incredible! Thank you for this opportunity to shout out praises for dogs 24/7 again!
Groupon has great deals going on now for new customers. They work hard to keep costs very competitive, and the care is stellar. We are telling our friends to Get On Board with...
Read moreI boarded my dog here for memorial weekend (3 days total) I didn’t receive any updates on her during this time. Most boarding places send you pictures or do updates but this one doesn’t. I wanted to know how my dog was doing so I called and they said fine and that they would post pictures on their social media which they did do after I asked. That wasn’t my biggest issue though. I got a call on my last day that my dog ate a clothes pin. They use them to label items and they said my dog jumped up to the staff grabbed it out of their hands and ate it. This doesn’t really make sense to me how this could happen. Why didn’t the staff grab it out of my dogs mouth? The story was weird and seems like it was negligence. I come to pick her up later that day and started expressing my frustrations to the staff working and they didn’t even know my dog ate a clothes pin. You would think that there would be communication to monitor my dog and make sure she doesn’t get sick. For the staff to not even know about it made me feel even worse. None of my concerns were addressed since this staff member had no knowledge of the incident and said a manager will call me. Also, when they called me earlier they said this happened once before to another dog. Why are you still using clothes pins if dogs are eating them? Use a sticker label instead or keep better watch of small items like that. I got charged 3 days of boarding and a half day of daycare for her to be there Friday-Monday even after all this negligence. She was only there 3 days so unsure where that half day of daycare came from. Feel like there should have been something to make this right since there is a clear lack of communication and direct supervision of my dog. Very...
Read moreI am giving two stars because I thought my dog did really well there, and she seemed to enjoy it, and it helped me out when I had to work and couldn't split my attention.
However today I picked her up and was told she had a good day, when I got home, I pulled her food bin out and none of her food was touched, I placed two and a half scoops of food in, and two and a half scoops were returned. When I got home, Lana ran to her foodbowl and devoured a full scoop, I had to slow her down so she wouldn't get sick from eating so fast, and I am livid, because this is not the first incident, and the first, I let slide. I got there to pick her up, two visits ago from today, and the lady from the counter brought out the wrong dog. Now, I let this slide because I was in a rush that morning and forgot to put her ID tag collar on, and there are apparently a lot of G-Sheps. She brought Lana out after returning the other dog, and that was that. I was a little shocked but again, mistakes happen, there was no harm.
The fact that my dog did not eat all day until she came home, and to see her scarf like that, I have no words right now, and there really isn't much that will encourage me to bring her back, I do hope there is accountability...
