I am beyond dissatisfied with my services recently. I have been using this pharmacy since August 2021 and haven't had any issues until this year. The last three times I've come to pick up my prescription there have been issues. Today, I went in for my prescription and was told that they were out of stock. I'm normally very understanding that sometimes they run out of medication; however, this is the final straw. The person waiting on me merely said I had to wait until 3PM tomorrow to pick up my prescription instead of offering any other solutions (such as checking to see if my rx was in stock at another location). I was in at the end of January to pick up my prescription and was told that I was not eligible to refill my rx and pick it up, which makes no sense as my doctor calls my rx in after every visit (there are 0 refills set on my particular rx). If the pharmacy rep had bothered to look at the amount of pills prescribed, the entire issue could have been avoided. Additionally, I felt as if the person waiting on me (I wish I had gotten her name) was treating me as if I using drug seeking behaviors, which further increased my frustrations with this location. The first incident occurred mid-January 2021 when I was told my prescription was pending. I followed up with my doctor to make sure that it wasn't an issue on their end and I was told everything was fine when my rx was submitted electronically. I am most certainly going to be transferring my rxs to an entirely new pharmacy. I'm a full time doctoral student and work, so the unnecessary additional trips have a noticeable impact. I will certainly be following up with management regarding this. Three strikes and you're out.
I want to make it clear that not all Safeway pharmacies are lacking in their customer service. I had an incredible experience with the Safeway pharmacy on Continental in Green Valley, AZ and was expecting the same when I moved to Phoenix. I cannot speak highly enough of Pablo at that location!! He has incredible bedside manners and takes a genuine interest in...
Read moreHave had prescriptions filled out over a yr. one being a controlled substance. DEA has strict regulations for those who abuse prescription like taking more than prescribed by dr. Selling or giving to other and other way I assume. Also to protect the patient from self injury even death. I had an injury(accident) and had to have emergency surgery. Dose amount was changed due to injury and after surgery. Making me have to refill early by 5 days. Note that a specialist and pain management worked side by side to address my injury and new prescription with details of new prescription and reason. The pharmacy had me calling dr office over i. Over for almost a week up to last he n half that they wanted more detail, written a certain way, reason why? I personally think she was lazy , should have contacted dr. Office herself. Reason being after I did all that she said to go fill some where else? I asked why said because of Her discretion, not DEA rules n regulations Safeway’s! I checked no such thing her discretion. I had a flight out of state due to loss of relative battling covid 19.I asked her why didn’t she just inform me in the first place? Not a problem if she’s having a bad day, week or life just mention it I’m gone. Simple as that lots of pharmacies. No she had to be rude as they come , unprofessional and unwilling to provide me with her managers number or corporate when I asked politely. Never apologized just walked from me? I told manager and he went and talked to her came back he apologized shook his hand and I left. Was gone out of state no meds for almost a week. If you want to be treated with respect and some one acting professional don’t let the short burnet wait on you. Blond hair lady,(manager), black young lady and Middle East woman nothing but pure honest professional treatment. Again white lady with brown/ brunette avoid at al cost!! Pure evil next time I’ll bring a bottle of holy water n 2 priest!! So sry store had to suffer...
Read moreThey argued with me about my son not being insured. I had to call the insurance company and request they call the pharmacist to prove he did indeed have insurance. He was 3 weeks old and needed antibiotics. The pharmacy closed early that day, knowing I was calling my insurance. They refused to give me back my written prescription order so I could go somewhere else. I was forced to wait until morning to get my newborn’s antibiotics. They gave a huge attitude when I went to pick it up and didn’t even apologize for being wrong or making my son suffer through the night.
A separate incident, they never contacted me or my child’s doctor to inform us that they didn’t have an antibiotic. They said they could order it, but didn’t know when it would be in. They again, refused to give me the prescription back so I could go somewhere else. My daughter had severe pneumonia and needed medication that day; it couldn’t wait. I had to call the doctor’s after hours line, and ask if they could send the prescription to another pharmacy. My daughter could have ended up in the emergency room because of them. Absolutely ridiculous communication, and the pharmacists always have an attitude. Go down the street to the 24 hour CVS- they will...
