I walked in, looking for a tux for an upcoming event. They sent me to the back of the store where I talked with an person who should just quit this industry and move on to something else. He started to tell me that he didn't need to use actual measuring tape as he was very good at his job. He said that I needed a 42R for the jacket, I assumed it would be like my other jackets at 44L, but lets see I suppose. Maybe Tuxes are measured differently? I tried on the 42 and couldn't get into it, my shoulders wouldn't fit. I ended up in a 44L. Then on to the pants, again he looks at me, doesn't take any measurements and goes 36 waist and 32 length. again he was wrong, I'm a 32 waist and 34 length. As I'm trying on the pants, and telling him they were way to big in the waist, he states that he always gets measurements correct, and that I'll just need to take them in to get them adjusted when they arrive. ok, whatever.. I mention that I need a shirt for my tux, and hear we go again, totally off on the neck size, after trying on 3 shirts, we finally get to my size, again no need for a measuring tape he says. (so far he's gotten every single measurement wrong.) Also this shirt doesn't look like what you'd wear under a tux jacket. He bags up my jacket, pants are on order, etc. I get home and look at the jacket and it's NOT a tux jacket. It's a suite jacket... What in the world did I just spend all of this time on. At this point I just returned everything, and purchased my tux online, using my actual measurements instead of what this guy's make believe sizes. He also needs to think about taking care of himself, at that weight, he will run into health issues soon if not already. I'm giving a 2 star, because at least the return process...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have never felt more ignored when I came in to buy 2 suits! All I can say is wow! Just because I didn't come in in a suit! Just lost out by judging people! I just couldn't believe the elitist attitude of employees who work on commission and don't even make a portion of what I do. Word of warning people who have money to spend dont always look like money! We wear T-Shirts and Jean's or shorts like everyone else.
Update: I was in this location (Happy Valley & 23rd Ave) for 10-15 minutes and nobody asked how we were doing or if we needed assistance. I ended up going to one of their other locations that isn't run by a bunch of millennials who can't seem to talk to anyone outside of their generation. If there was a better option for big guys like me, I would have used another company totally. Unfortunately this location was right by my house (Happy Valley and 39th Ave). I had to go to the Arrowhead location to get assistance. There seemed to be 3-4 people helping 1 guy at the Happy Valley location. Fortunately the very professional guys at the Arrowhead location treated me well and gladly accepted my just over $1200 spent (including a custom suit). I do suggest you carry more Jean's and polos for larger guys if you continue to advertise for Big and Tall! I would have spent quite a bit more if you did!
One of those millennials working at the Happy Valley location lost the commission on my $1200+ in sales. I will tell you after having to be inconvenienced and drive lots further out of my way, I will start looking for another company to give my business to. I work to hard for my money to just continue to give it to a company that won't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to this location for my wedding wardrobe for me and my groom's men. I did find an outfit that matched what I was looking for. However, the woman they assigned to me (wardrobe consultant) seemed like she wasn't really helpful and I got the impression that she wasn't committed to serving the customer. For someone to be getting married is a big deal and I believe that the consultant should have an uplifting attitude for their customer and offer suggestions on what to wear or in general just knowledge styles and such. I felt like I was alone in this search for an outfit. I'm not a men's style expert and that is one of the reasons that I went to the Men's Wearhouse. I also went in there 7 months before my wedding which is really early. I was missing a couple of measurements for some of my friends outfits that she needed. After a couple of months I had totally forgotten that I still needed those since I just got busy with other things. It took until 3 months before the wedding for me to contact her to see what was going on with the ordering of the outfits. She then reminds me that I still need those measurements. I know I'm partly to blame for not remembering needing those last few measurements, but as my wardrobe consultant she should of called me earlier as a follow up to check on the status of the measurements. I payed them to provide this service of getting everything nice and ready for my big day. I would say the only good thing was that I saved a lot of money being that I purchased my stuff on one of those 50% off the entire store days. The service was...
