Before attending this location, it’s important to give all young recruits a heads-up. Most of the staff are professional, but there is one envious individual who tries to crush your dreams. I encountered a person at the front who didn’t even know me and had a furious look on his face.
I arrived at 5 A.M., and a recruit informed me that my medical check was good because of a prior medical examination I had done in another state. I asked verbally if it was okay for me to leave and come back when my test time was up. He confirmed that it was okay, so I left to get some rest before the start time, which was 6 hours away. I came back, and the furious guy was so angry and made a big scene about me being back for my CAT-ASVAB. He tried to call someone via phone and ask why I was there and why I wasn’t supposed to just come back after leaving when I thought I had to redo the medical. I had the medical and testing dates confirmed on a paper from my recruiter, and it had dates and times for it. I tried showing him the papers to clear the confusion, but he rejected them so he could have a reason to stay conflicted with this topic.
I want to bring to your attention some issues that occurred during the CAT-ASVAB testing. There were instances of individuals being assigned the wrong test, proctors talking loudly in the testing room, and disappearing when the screens went red. In my case, I was seated in front of a marine proctor who was wearing headphones playing a loud podcast, which caused a distraction as I have really good hearing. Additionally, she was reading the recruits’ scores out loud, which was disruptive and not protocol at all. Overall, I would not recommend this testing center for anyone who wants the best for their military career. If you’re retaking the test or getting a medical check-up here, you’re likely on thin ice. It’s best to be prepared for distractions or consider going out of state.
Blessing to all of you willing to protect and serve for our country! Don't give up! Enjoy...
Read moreThe staff was nice and courteous, but the overall experience was very disappointing. You only allow five people in to watch a loved one ship off to basic training. We are a family of seven, therefore, all of my children were not allowed to watch their beloved brother swear into the military. MEPS personnel hide behind local policies that are not practiced at other MEPS. I recommended adding exceptions to policy to allow immediate families, i.e. mom, dad, brothers and sisters, but these recommendations fell on deaf ears. Again, the staff was curteous but the experience was extremely disappointed as my children could not enter a room for 5 minutes to watch their...
Read moreUnnecessarily aggressive security guard. Difficult to find. The website should’ve clarified what this place actually is. I thought it was a recruitment center typa thing. I came just bc I was curious about a military career. I was approached like I’m a criminal. Only reason it’s 2 stars not 1, finally a Navy officer I just happen to run into by the elevator briefly was nice to me & gave me a little info. Wasted so much time & gas coming out to this place, and then to be treated harshly by security when I didn't do anything wrong. They really ought to have better info on...
