I was in Phoenix for the weekend and decided to get a pedicure. I was happy that they accepted me as a walk-in and were able to get started on me immediately. The older woman (50s-60s) and younger woman (20s) were both finishing up with a client, so they had the older gentleman (60s+) do my pedicure. I got the Happy Feet pedicure, which includes the pedicure and ALL 7 add-ons. The older gentleman rushed through the process, it appeared that his hand may have been injured or aching. Not sure if the pre-polish process was supposed to just be 20 minutes but it was, and seemed a bit short for the menu item I selected. The 5-minute massage was maybe 2 minutes, the scrub wasn't completely rinsed off. The nail buffer/file used on my toes were NOT new. These were the spongy/porous kind that are unable to be disinfected, they already had marks on it, proving that they were pre-used. My polish should have only had 2 color coats and a clear coat. He put on 1-2 additional color coats which made it take even more time to dry and this also makes the finished color look lumpy. I though they may have had a "foot fanā under the manicure tables that I could stick my feet into for a few minutes, but no. He let me sit to air dry for about 3 minutes and then sent me to pay. I unfortunately am unable to recommend this nail salon, especially not for those with natural (non-acrylic/gel) nails. Two stars because I love the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI didnt make an appointment becauae getting my nails done was a spur of the moment thing. I called ahead to see if they were accepting walk ins for the day...whomever answered the phone said yes. But when i got there, it was a different story.
I was greeted and asked what service i wanted (a full set). The entire staff was giving customers pedicures. After I disclosed my wanted service, the staff conversed in Vietnamese and then sent someone over to the desk to talk to me.
The bald gentleman was nice enough however, he informed me that he was the ONLY one that was able to do acrylics (out of the 4 staff members there) and that he was booked for the day.
It seems to me that if you fill up after a potential customer calls, you should turn off the "walk - ins welcome" sign. This will let customers know that they are booked for the day.
Also given the reputation of this salon, and only one person does acrylics seems bogus. If it is the truth, then they need to hire more technicians that have a variety of skills.
I just recently moved to central phoenix and I only came here because of its proximity to my home. I don't think I will return, I will just take the trip...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt takes a lot for me to leave a negative review, but my pedicure experience leaves me feeling it is necessary. From the time I sat down to when the nails were painted (and not well), 18 minutes elapsed. I even "upgraded" to the callus removal. The callus removal was simply the hard, painful grating of the bottoms of my feet without any callus removal gel. I have never had the gel skipped before and my feet don't feel as smooth as I would have expected. If there was a massage, it wasn't memorable. I even asked if there was a calf or foot massage, because I don't recall it being done. No buffing of the tops of my nails or any trimming of cuticles was done. It was $40, which is $5 more than what I spend at my usual spot, but the location was more convenient. I do appreciate that they could get me in on just 15 minutes notice, but if I would have known it would have been rushed and sloppy, I would have declined. Pretty disappointing. I will not be returning. There are better, more thorough places out there that would render a much...
