I find it very odd that your could rate a church anything but yea or nay. Saint Simon and Jude is a Yay. The priests, Bishop, and sisters speak the truth, unapologetically, and seek to serve the the people that walk in the door as Jesus would, with love, tenderness, and the Truth of their Father in heaven. I have never seen greater compassion shown when holding to the Gospel truths. There are many things in life that are non-negotiable according to the words of Jesus and his saints and apostles/disciples. We are all sinners and we all need Jesus to help us. There is no dividing line in the church of those who are holy and those that are not. Everyone comes to Jesus at this time, seeking His Truth, His Love, and His Forgiveness. Everyone I know walks out feeling affirmed that they are invited into a greater love of Him and to bring Him to the world outside of the parish. Kudos to the fantastic musicians, volunteers, educators, ministers to the poor, dying, and those in prison. For all those that help make the school a place parents want their children to go because they grow academically and spiritually, to those that teach the faith, and for those that maintain the wonder Worship space. And a thanks to God the Father and Jesus, his only begotten Son for the holy, prayerful, and dedicated Bishop who leads the Phoenix diocese, the priests, Rector Fr. John Lankeit, and Fr. Kurt Pererra, for sacrificing your lives to bring us to Jesus, and for the wonderful Sisters of Loreto, who brighten my day and do so much for everonye at SSJ. Again while it is strange to rate a church -- I have no hesitation...
Read moreGoing to church alone. After 2 years ago I came back to the church after 19 years away. I attended for awhile, but I avoided people here. I kept greetings brief and conversions superficial . I came early but left quickly after the service . It surprise me how easy it was to hide in plain sight even when sitting In the front row or pew. What surprised me even more since then is how common this experience is in any Catholic Church. It is the most dehumanizing place on Earth for a single, divorced person to come to. I feel more spiritual at an NFL game .especially the, "Hail Mary Pass" . People are friendly at the games. But I get none of this at church or any other Catholic Church . For many this has become normal. In my case, this was a phase of anonymity and alienation ,( wasted months that still grieve me). For many ,however, anonymous attendance is all I know of the Catholic Church It is perpetual and permanent. I even paid the mortgage off one church as a northern parishioner 2 years ago only to leave the Catholic Church for good. I believe in Jesus but I am a lost lamb who will wonder the desert forever. I need Jesus not the church. One more thing, Jesus taught Peter to have faith when Jesus was walking on the water. Jesus taught me to have faith no matter who walks into the church, or says bad language towards us. Jesus also taught me that we must forgive all no matter what they have done. Don't worry about the past . Pray for the the future of the coming of the Lord. All I ask is for wisdom and guidance from the Lord. HAVE FAITH AND TRUST IN...
Read moreI attended mass at this nice Cathdral from 2010 thru 2013 and again from 2017 thru 2019. Today I have decided never to visit ever again from the abusive and unwarranted attack on my person by their volunteer security patrol. I stopped attending Catholic mass as a silent protest to Pope Francis adoption of extremist leftist views, and the removal of Father Lankitt who was a devout catholic and conservative whom brought beautiful insight into the dangers of democrat socialist propaganda. Well I still gave my mom a ride to Church regularly and I attended Easter and Christmas out of respect for Jesus. Over the course of 9 weeks the security was getting more and more aggressive, towards my waiting to pick my mom up after mass, which never ever ended on any set time. Anywhere from 9:55 am to 10:35 am. I used to park in the back and waited, than security would harass me to leave. Than I park on the front red zone and had a smoke. Than harassed again. I eventual started to wait off their property on street left hand turn lane that enters the Adulation Chapel. Today on Mothers day of 2022 they called police and I was questioned and searched. The officer was nice but she informed me that she got a call about a drunk. I am so furious that I told my mom this has gone too far. This church has turned into a democrat karen. These security officers knew who I was and who I pick up. No excuse to call police. I am not welcome so I will be taking mom to another church in...
