I never leave any reviews but please avoid going here and instead drive to Montebello Mall. I had to learn the hard way. I went in to trade my iPhone 13 to the 16. I was on an old plan and was enrolled into one of their new plans. Hayden was the employee assisting us and he straight up lied about everything. He mentioned our promo came with a free tablet or watch. At the time, we only saw the promotion for the free phone so we were surprised and thankful. I specifically asked if we had to pay for a service line bc he mentioned it came with WiFi and we can make calls. He said no and kept talking about how he estimates our plan will only go up to $229 (I was paying $205 for 4 lines). We ended up upgrading all 4 lines and accepted the free items. He even said to not look at my account bc it would show charges that need to be adjusted, however, I checked the next day and I was being charged for 4 new service lines for these free items that he mentioned I did not need to pay. I went back to that store to clarify and another employee said I must wait for Hayden bc he is “unsure” and only he can clarify. We go back to the store again and I informed Hayden about his lie and he didn’t deny it but proceeded to lie again and say if I return the items then my current mobile plan would go up by $5-$10 and its better to keep the items. Made no sense but felt discouraged bc he didn’t disclose the service line when asked and now if I return then my plan would go up. Keep in mind, my plan went up to $269 from the $229 and this was the final payment that I calculated. When confronted about this as well, he just asked if we decided to trade in our old Apple Watch and applied to the nurses discount. Since he lied so much, I chatted with 2 different Verizon customer service who confirmed my price would not go up if I return. Unfortunately, I couldn’t return at montebello mall bc I bought the items from Verizon in Pico which is a 3rd party seller, Victra. The employee there recommended I call customer service because he even confirmed my plan would not go up and I indeed can return without my plan being affected. Thankfully, Verizon customer service sent me a prepaid label and I returned all the Apple Watches and tablet that Hayden sold me under false pretenses. Additionally, he lied and said he would price match the Verizon coverage to the one I paid at Apple if I went with them. Everything he sold me was a complete lie. Got it removed and definitely purchasing through Apple which is $7.99 from the start. Hayden is the worst seller ever. Avoid going here and just go to montebello...
Read moreI do not accept the fact that I got scammed by this Verizon store on Wednesday July 2nd. I came in to upgrade my iPhone from the 13 mini to the iPhone 16 pro. Eddie M was the associate who assisted me with this purchase the setup all that. While my iPhone was setting up he’s going over how much I will have to pay in sales taxes for the phone alone. He tells me it will be around $300. He told me he was going to throw in a case, screen protector and camera lens protector as well I thought that was just Verizon being nice and giving me a customer accessories for my device because T-Mobile does that for their customers. The next day I see that for accessories and the setup charge I was charged $205. So what I want to know Verizon is why are hiring employees who are scamming customers? I’ve been to this store multiple times and this is the time you decide to scam me. How did it total out to $338 dollars? I have the invoice. It’s unacceptable that your employee verbally told me he was throwing in a case, screen protector, and the lens covers. This unacceptable for your type of business, I don’t care if your employee wants his commission scamming customers is not the way to go about it. You’ll be hearing from me and I expect you to resolve the issue by refunding my money. I’ll keep my phone since I paid for it you can have your overpriced accessories back.
Edit: Verizon you need to respond to my email. I already sent you guys an email before you responded to my review and I never got anything. You respond and tell me to reach out yet I still get nothing. It seems like you hire liars and scammers at your store. I don’t care if your employees get commission for selling products. Scamming customers should not be allowed because they want commission or whatever. Do I need to switch carriers and see if I get better service from another provider.
Edit 2: Thankfully the Verizon customer support is giving me a refund on the accessories I wasn’t supposed to be charged for. Keep in mind if one of the employees say they’re going to throw in a case, screen protector or camera protector. Get it in writing. I learned the hard way on July 2nd. The employee I experienced this with his name was Eddie. Don’t let them scam you or lie to you like...
