My husband and I have been using Mavis Tires for years. Prior to the 66th Street store in Pinellas Park opening we've used the 4th street location and the Tyrone Blvd location. Very happy with all of them. Then the 66th Street store opened 5 minutes from my house, so we've been going to this location since they opened. Always receive great service. Everyone is always very courteous, friendly, and helpful. This has been true of ALL 3 locations. I brought my car in 2 days ago because it was starting to vibrate when I would get to 60 mph and intensified if I went faster. So took it in to have a look see. Unfortunately I have a bad habit of hitting curbs, usually with my back tires. So I figured it was something to do with that. They checked several unrelated things like brakes and rotars (at my husband's request). All of those were good. They looked at my rims and agreed that the balance was definitely needing to be checked. Immediately discovered I had lost 1 of the weights (from the left front tire) that help balance the tire so they replaced that. They did not try to sell me anything else. And I was on my way for less than $30. It fixed the issue! Needless to say I was thrilled. David Bates and everyone I spoke to were extremely pleasant and personable. All were very professional. I highly recommend any of the...
Read moreI have no idea how this location has this many stars. This is the second time I have had a major issue. The first time I visited they slapped my tires on, but accidentally charged my card $1,000 more because the assistant managers “finger must have slipped.” I had to drive back and get a refund after I saw the charge. I was getting in my car to drive home and noticed all the tires air caps were off. I went back in and asked for caps and the guy sighed and said “they must have forgot.” We decided let’s give them another try since it’s close to the house. Terrible mistake. My boyfriend needed new tires and took his car in. There was product in his trunk that they had spilled from when they moved the car to do its alignment and “test drive it”. Bleach and compound all over his trunk.. under and in the carpets. They slapped the tires on but didn’t put any of his caps on either! Do these people even look at the cars they’re working on ? These are products one could smell when it has spilled so one would know immediately. We are younger looking, but grown adults with hard earned money that expect the work to be done with some kind of thought behind it. Photo is after my boyfriend started to clean it.. Extremely...
Read moreI had a nail in a fairly new tire and had to get it repaired stat. I have a small tire inflator and used it to pump up the tire in order to get to where the tire could be fixed. Although I belong, as a member, to the big box store around the corner that also handles repairs, the amount of time I would waste waiting could be hours. Such a waste of valuable time was definitely not worth it. I also could have driven to my auto dealer a few miles away but was already looking to disengage from the dealership for car maintenance. (This dealership too takes hours to handle car issues.) I contacted Mavis. David told me to come in. I did. I was most impressed with the service crew, the cleanliness of the facility and how quickly they took care of the problem. I did learn that Mavis handles quite a few car issues (repairs) as well. I did not know this. I will definitely be coming back to this Mavis facility for additional services. Great service!...
