There were 3 to 4 workers here, and an empty store, yet would constantly refuse when asked if they could fix my drink. The first time, my drink tasted like just milk. These drinks cost about $7 or more, and you get charged for anything you change like light ice, understandable. But what i dont appreciate is if i wanted syrup in my drink, they said it wouldnt come out right, so we asked if they could remake it if nothing else could be done, after they remade it they were upset and said they could of just added syrup? I paid extra for light ice, and they filled it to the brim. Im a slow drinker so i dont mind paying for light ice for my drink not to end up diluted. Usually you pay for light ice due to the very small amount of extra product they use to offset taking the ice out. Went back after merely mixing it, this time i didnt even drink it, i mix it to notice it was full of ice, they claimed i drank it and that it was my fault in the not even 10 seconds it took me to walk out and back in. I parked right in front so they could probably even see me immediately walking back in. When they took the ice out in front of me after so much complaining they refused to even add the tiniest amount of product that i was charged for due to light ice. Again claiming i drank it. With so many of my family members working in the food and restaurant industry, i would be the last person to try and mess with service workers, but my family also works hard to brung good service to earn their tips and pay. Theyre not rude and blame the customer for things that didnt happen. I could make it at home, but im paying for someone else to make it and the convenience of not having to make it myself. Especially when im asking nicely. With so many boba shops in st.pete far superior theres no reason to come back here. It was just on my way home, will never stop by here for...
Read moreI placed a mobile order at 4:17p so I could pick up on my way home. The website lists orders would be ready in about 15 minutes. I arrived at 4:45p and am told by the young man at the register they forgot to make my order.
I ask another employee if perhaps I could request like a drink voucher and she says they did not forget, they were just busy. I placed my two drinks in 30 minutes ago and when they did make them it took less than 5 minutes. The biggest issue is honestly being lied to.
Sip Tea Boba makes AMAZING drinks, but in the service area this interaction has been less than underwhelming. There are places much closer to me and I plan to check them out rather than risk ordering here and being mistreated. I also no longer plan to recommend them to friends- not anymore.
Update: Given the response of the owner that focused more on commenting on irrelevant details, gaslighting and less on keeping a customer I've made the right choice of staying away from this establishment.
A simple sincere apology would have done wonders.
Update: Interesting you edited your response. Perhaps because your first one was rude. I was upset because your staff lied. I did quietly ask if I could be granted a punch card and was told you all do not use them. I was upset because you lied. One of your staff said they forgot to make it then a woman said there was a glitch. Which was it. Why bother offering mobile if you forget to make a drink and then can't own up to...
Read moreCame to this boba place because I heard about how good their boba was. Once my friend and I came in, we overheard the workers talk bad about us in a mixture of vietnamese and english. We were just taking the time to decide what to order but we overheard they say that we look âstupidâ and âretardedâ. It was pretty obvious the comment was directed at us as we were the only people ordering. I wouldnât come here unless you want to be judged for no reason. In the end, boba wasnât worth the bad experience.
Reply to the owner: While I appreciate you for looking into this issue, I know if someone is talking about me or not. Itâs hard to mistaken something like this when they made contact with us and look at us while making those comments. Even then they shouldnât have been acting that way in front of customers to give them that impression. In the end, I know youâre just...
