Why is there not an option for a review lower than one star? I was excited to take the family to KFC in a market that wasn't as poorly maintained, or at a minimum cleaned as infrequently as ours, but ended even more dis-sastified than we would have just eaten there.
I called to ensure hours of operation, as well as buffet hours, thinking that was easier than a large order with multiple sides, etc. Everything seemed okay when we ordered, then the gentleman paying immediately after us was told (rather loudly) that they may not have any more biscuits to put out. I don't know if this was a reaction to the eight or nine being taken by my party of six that I had just paid for, or just intended as a general sentement expressing the staff member's displeasure with the evening. Please note, this was at least an hour and a half before the buffet was scheduled to close, with the location open for two additional hours past that. A member of my family did ask at one point for more biscuits, which were served by a different team member, but were quickly taken by everyone in the restaurant who now expected a biscuitless meal. Chicken was brought out one more time, leaving at least one piece for everyone having buffet that evening, or at worst only a couple of us to split a piece…but the gravy and potatoes were left to the crust formed around the stainless steel containers. Surprisingly they didn't taste as bad as that sounds, I've eaten at many truckstops and definitely had worse. The real reason for what I hope is taken as a ∅ star review is the employee mentioned and the manager trying their best to avoid all customer contact at any expense. Several “F Bombs” were dropped, directed to an employee but intended for the audience dining in the lobby. The only specific reason picked up by a member of my party was because she had cleaned part of the lobby and the gentleman warned about the biscuits, who hoped to make use of the single outlet to charge his phone while he dined alone, had the audacity to actually sit in that section. Two tables away from us. Apparently she had cleaned it already. She did seem to find time to disappear from all public view a couple of times, we hoped for a cigarette break, or something that would help her embrace the realization that, unlike many people on this area, she at least has a job and an income source. But then I walked into the men's room, no locked door, no signage of any kind, and was told “There's someone already in here” as she continued to wipe the glass mirror without glancing up. I saw someone else making his way across the dining area to the same fate but had exited the store before realizing that I could have warned him. He made it out of the building and the parking lot a little faster than we were able to.
Bottom line? There's a Popeye's just down the street. We'll try...
Read moreTotally disappointed...walked in the door and there were 10 people in line already...then I realized why, it was taking the cashier approximately 5 minutes per person to ring them up. The cashier who turned out to be the manager was struggling with the register and the process. While we were patiently waiting our turn I noticed an employee who was making to-go meals.. she dropped the lids on the floor for the meals, she picked up the lids and put them on the meals anyway. My turn came I decided on the buffet... The initial appearance of the buffet was very disappointing. The macaroni and cheese was dried out and stuck to the side of the pan. There was no chicken to be had and only One biscuit. I stopped one of the employees and asked if they're bringing more chicken out, I was told they could not bring any out at that moment, I asked her about all the chicken that was sitting on the counter freshly cooked and she responded that chicken could not go into the buffet. Only the older chicken that have been sitting around could go into the buffet. After standing in line at the buffet waiting for them to bring more chicken along with about six other people they delivered five pieces of chicken. While waiting for more chicken I decided to use the restroom, what a mess in the restroom. as I slid across the slippery floor toward the sink I was scared to touch anything to save myself from falling. I left the restroom without using it or even washing my hands. I did notice that the floors were just ad slippery throughout the dining area. Not sure if this is corporate owned or franchise...but someone needs to step up and show some pride in the Colonel's name.. I hope some...
Read moreI went through after work and ordered the 8pc strip meal with mash and mac/cheese. I'm given a bag and told to have a nice evening. I get home and it's only the chicken. No sides, no receipt... nothing. I literally called them in hopes of they have it there and forgot to hand it to me. 39 back to back phone calls later (I ordered from the KFC near my job, not my house and it's a 20min drive) I just gave up and figured I'd call them the following day. The next day I talked to a Tiffany there and explained the problem, that I'd like the missing sides at least...I did pay for them, seems fair to me. She asked of I had a receipt and I told her they only gave me chicken, that's it and offered to show her my call log where I tried contacting them nearly 40 times. She told me she'd replace the meal entirely and apologized for the trouble. My name would be in a book and tell them I spoke to her. 45 mins ago I go through drive through and tell them my name, her name and that I'm in a book. The manager there says he just called her and they can not replace anything without the food or receipt. The 2 things they failed to give me in the first place. This is bad business and I'm more likely to visit other chicken chains after this whole ordeal. Popeyes, Churches and Chick Fil A are all within 10 mins of my house and they will be the ones we go to first...
