Fusion Spice — Restaurant in Piscataway Township

So incredibly disappointed in our experience with Fusion Spice. Although, the food was ready on arrival and the papdi chaat tasted great, those were the only pluses here.

Firstly, the food. Like I said, the papdi chaat tasted fine but there were only 7 pieces (probably the worst value for money you can get in a 25 mile radius). Everything else tasted terrible and was COLD! The pav was cold and stiff and the bhaji was drowning in oil and very spicy (we are very tolerant of spice and did not order spicy). It also had a weird aftertaste. The paneer tikka was probably the driest I’ve ever had and the flavor was very bland. It just got worse from here as the frankie’s were $12 each and the size of a roti roll. As you can see from the images, it is paper thin. And it gets better. After already eating 2 of them, we found out there were very very tiny pieces of foil in the cheese! We use Amul cheese at home so we know how the foil looks and if you look closely, you can see it in the pictures. If the cooks are wearing gloves, why can’t they use their gloves to hold it and remove the foil to shred? Perhaps they do not wear gloves.

Finally, the response. We immediately called back and were first told that nothing could be done until we brought the food back. We were fine doing this but we wanted to get in contact with the owner to make them aware and make sure no one else has a similar experience. Unfortunately, they were useless and said nothing could be done. We don’t necessarily care about the money; more so the fact that there was no concern or urgency that they served pieces of foil in their food and acted clueless. How does one pick up a rock-hard piece of bread and think, “this will go great with the bhaji!”. What a joke lol. I wouldn’t even feed that to the deer outside my house.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of dining at Fusion Spice and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance.

The menu offered a wide variety of options.We opted for Chicken 65, Masala dosa, Chicken tikka masala, Garlic Naan, Hot & Sour Soup, Cheese corn ball, Shrimp Triple Schezwan Noodles. Each bite was a burst of flavors, perfectly balanced and thoughtfully crafted.
