I'm sorry, I just can't stand behind a brand that doesn't stand behind what it sells. It's incredible to me that they will not bother with even an exchange of a like item in different size when one, like I did, has misplaced my receipt. All I needed was an exchange on UNOPENED item, for the correct size. Didn't need money as return, didn't need gift card return, just a simple proper sized item. But I was refused without a receipt, have no history of returns, or abuse of anything even close, and don't understand the way I was treated. I felt like I was being talked to as if I had some underlying scam behaviour they singled out for even asking to exchange. I left angry, and confused not only by the demeanor of staff, but how inappropriate it all seemed to me as a whole. My item was a store branded item, so it clearly came from there. Not like a question of it maybe being from somewhere else was in play. All this told me was never to return ever again, if a store won't stand behind their own brand, or their customers. If they think the loss was not gonna be in product here, somehow... I'd say it's much worse. Their protection of whatever they are behind, list them a family of customers instead. Not very smart when a remodel is in play... The last one contributed almost 75k to their pockets. But that's fine, we can go blue. They are nicer anyway. Done with the orange. Read moreGetting ready to sue Home Depot as they have been an absolute nightmare to deal with. I can make this story very long but I will be very short: never use their services for appliances or anything. They put in a dishwasher incorrectly, came back a week later to fix it after we had to fight for an installation fee they were going to charge us again due to their mistake. They 'fixed' it. I say 'fixed' because the dishwasher was put in again incorrectly with a undetectable leak, been leaking for months. Ruined our kitchen floor and after we caught wind of this had them come to 'fix' it on the warranty/guarantee. The service person would not touch it unless we signed off that they were not responsible for our floor. We refused, they did nothing at all but filed a report with Home Depot saying they told us something they actually never did. We had to bring an outside plumber in to diagnose; found the leak and filmed it for proof. Contacted Home Depot and were told they do not cover floor in any scenario, which makes zero sense because THIS IS THEIR FAULT. Told them we have no choice but to take them to small claims. Home Depot person in the phone did not care, we have talked to them about 5 times and every time, zero results and zero help. Now we have to fight it out with this company so they can fix their errors and pay for it since they refuse to do anything about this. Home Depot has lost me forever and all of my family/friends.
