I worked here for about a month. The interview process was BS. The training was non-existent, there was no form of reimbursement for getting a beertending license. the other beertenders i worked with were always on their phone. i was never made to feel like part of the team. i was blamed for things i didnt do and on my second day of work the owners werent there and the only other beertender was late and there was a event that the brewery was hosting. i also had to deal with an overly drunbk patron that i didnt even serve, and i was was told he was a "great" customer. Edit - Have been a few times since, including the Downtown Pittsfield scavenger hunt night. The place was packed, and we downed a couple delicious brews over some movie popcorn that we got across the street at the Beacon. Great place to stop in for a pint or a growler. Read moreMy wife and I recently held our wedding welcome party at Hot Plate Brewing, and it couldn't have gone better! Mike and Sarah were so amazing and accommodating. All of our guests commented on how great the space is and how good the drinks were (both beer and other beverages). We had the space all to ourselves and were able to set up with welcome bags and bring in our own food (which Mike and Sarah helped ensure stayed organized and clean). They even had a microphone and audio system that we could use for toasts and music. We would definitely recommend Hot Plate Brewing to anyone for your next event...
