Went to the placerville ca store to buy a generator they had on clearance, arrived at the store mid afternoon and it was slow, and when I say slow I mean like two maybe three other people in the store. Found the generator listed with the same price on the “display” also need a bunch of other items couple hundred dollars worth … also I would like to add I’m a pretty frequent flyer at harbor freights I wouldn’t say I’m there biggest spender or anything, but in my line of work I’m sure I spend 15-20k a year in their establishments. First I ask an associate working near by to verify the items was there, and let me tell you he must’ve been a busy person because he had an absolute disgusted look on his face that I would even ask him to do such a thing and throughout the entire interaction, he seemed very irritated by the fact that he had a deal with a customer. They alerted me that the generator was not available, so I followed up with a question of when the generator would be available if I could have one shipped in for the clearance price or if the display model was available as you can imagine the associate I was dealing with on the floor had no information to help me, basically let me with I don’t really know anything and then just walked away. I found it very unprofessional and decided I didn’t need anything from thier store. I find this is why retail stores are going downhill. I can do the same shopping for less money on Amazon, which is what I’m gonna do, I’m going to buy the generator for 40 bucks cheaper off of Amazon and screw Harbor freight and the snobbish associates I just like shopping local when I can but I don’t need to deal with them they haven’t been the cheapest gig in town for a lot of years now. I’ll never shop at that particular store again. I’m still debating if I’ll ever shop at another harbor freight again they don’t have good deals to put up with this kind of attitude...
Read moreRelatively new location. Harbor freight fan for many years. The staff here is great, always helpful, really good about keeping sale and promo items on the shelves. The entire staff is really good about keeping up with current and upcoming ad events. The location is still maintained and the staff is consciously applying effort to maintain the appearance of the store. Ive been on many business conversion and remodel projects and spent many years within multiple types of retail locations and am very familiar with the challenges of maintaining the appearance of a newly opened facility. The internal, not often noticed by the consumer/customer maintenance is often overlooked. So, great job guys! Seems like you have a great team put together and you all seem to enjoy or at least appreciate your jobs and the facility. Keep it up! Good help is...
Read moreI really appreciate Harbor Freight coming (back) to Placerville. Hey, it's not Snap-On, but it does have its place, especially for low prices. We'll see what happens now that tariffs on China are 145%. BTW, I really do hate having to get a hall pass from the front desk just to go to the bathroom. The bathroom door code is 3476 twice (34763476). I was told to memorize it as it will...
