Even though lying face down in a face cradle is the way massage is often presented to people I find that it’s a position that many clients find uncomfortable after a long period of time. There’s plenty of good reasons why someone would want to avoid the face down position during their massage. Pregnancy, congestion/allergies, or even just general head and neck discomfort in the face cradle. You deserve to feel comfortable and relaxed on the massage table, and us massage therapists want to offer you the most relaxing and comfortable experience that we can, so please speak up if you’re not comfortable in ANY position on the table. Even if you enjoy lying face down on the massage table there are plenty of adjustments we can make to support your unique body! Switching up the position you take on the massage table can be about more than just making you comfortable, it can also allows for a slightly different angles of pressure being applied and unique stretching and pin and stretching exercises that could other wise not be preformed. The gist of this post is to inform you that you deserved to feel comfortable on a massage table, and there’s nothing wrong with speaking up and switching from a popular position or style to opt for something that more accurately meets your goals and feels more comforting/relaxing Do you have strong feelings about lying face down in a face cradle? Let me know in the comments. If you’re looking for a massage therapists that’s going to put your comfort first in the dfw area book a session on my website, or direct message, text, or call to get something set up! . . . #sportsmassage #sidelyingmassage #relaxing #facecradle #supinemassage #upperbackmassage #shouldermassage #neckmassage

There are lots of people walking around with herniated discs or other tissue damage that don’t even know that and don’t hold themselves back from doing the things that they love. I’m not saying that your injury or diagnosis is fake or that people with herniated discs are the same as those with normal discs. Just that avoiding your favorite activities or things like bending over is not a sustainable way to manage your symptoms or recover. Don’t let the results of imaging take away your freedom to move. Earn it back. Massage can help you reclaim your active lifestyle, play your favorite sport, bend without fear, and live pain-free! Ready to take the first step? Editing based on their response. Clearly they could care less about the impact of their employees approach and simplified it to regulations. They also did not respond to an email I sent nor a comment on social media. Washing my hands of receiving any empathy from them, sadly

I was just discriminated against so terribly at this establishment. I signed up to be a vendor at a wellness event and explained my services to the event coordinators over the course of two phone calls and many emails/texts. I’m a licensed and professional manicurist and I was happy to volunteer my time to give back to women by offering what I call express 15 minute manicures. The event coordinators understood this and we all looked forward to the event. Not even 5 minutes into me setting up my table and area, two women, Michelle & Kim walked up to me (the only black woman in the corner) and told me I could not do nails at the establishment. Confused, I asked why as I was not met with any issues prior to the event. They went down a list of reasons, first starting that my electronic file ā€œscared themā€ and that they do not allow ā€œsmelly servicesā€ of any kind. I was baffled as I was only doing simple 15 minute express manicures, which quite literally entails filing and painting a person’s nails as you would at home for fun. They never asked me any questions, they saw me, assumed what I was doing would be wrong and immediately made me uncomfortable. After explaining what I was doing, the woman offered to get a cloth to put under my table so that I would not spill anything. I am a licensed professional and I would not and have not ever caused a mess at my studio, the salon I work from or any event. I’m typically welcomed with open arms as women who usually are unable to have a pampering session are happy to see that they can get a quick service at an event geared towards wellness and self-care. I felt incredibly uncomfortable and the words ā€œyou can’t do that hereā€ continued to ring in my head so I decided to leave. I explained to the staff that I’d be leaving and did not want to be a liability nor did I want to be somewhere under the eyes of a woman who would approach me with such judgement and no tact. As I was leaving, these women all of a sudden changed their tune and one of them apologized, stating that her colleague had a "bad back" and was not well. We all have a lot going on in our personal lives, that is never an excuse for rudeness, lack of empathy and in my eyes, discrimination. I drove from Fort Worth to Plano to do the event and left after hardly even setting up with tears in my eyes. I have vended at many events and have never been treated this way. The woman constantly said what I can’t do, but never asked what I WAS doing. I should have never been approached, they have a contract with the event coordinators and should’ve discussed with them first, not myself. The list of reasons kept changing as to why I was not welcomed there and I deduced it to it simply being that they were uncomfortable with ME. I highly recommended looking elsewhere for your business needs as professionalism here is...

We found Caddo Mapleshade (Plano) in February. From the moment Laycee G answered our call (most of the others places we called we got voicemail or "someone would call back") and then we walked in and were greeted by Laycee we were sold. The building, facilities and amities are exactly what we want/need. Laycee, the office manager is always there to greet you and any visitors. Moreover, she does a great job at facilitating relationships and networking with other business and individuals in the office. I would look nowhere else if the Caddo Mapleshade location works for you and your business. Excellent office manager, great atmosphere and everything you need to be effective working. We are truly thankful we found Caddo.
