The Taco Bell food items were being assembled, folded, and wrapped with the employee's bare hands, no glove on either hand.
When I inquired during my walk-in KFC purchase, the woman manager, who seemed genuinely pleasant, smiled, paused for an awkward length of time, and explained the Taco Bell prep employee was not, also, handling "dineros".
The custodian (doubling as order-taker) came from the dining area sweeping to behind the counter to inquire of my concern, perhaps thinking it was related to him taking my order. Then, he chimed in, explaining, the employees are "professional", "trained", well-qualified to handle food bare-handed (mind you, many Taco Bell ingredients are raw, uncooked and unheated, methods that can and do kill handborne germs. Many such Taco Bell ingredients are items like lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, and tortillas, being assembled with bare hands).
Logically, "training" does not negate the contamination of bare hands touching one's face or head during food handling. Germs on bare hands are as harmful from a "trained" food handler as from anyone's bare hands.
Ridiculously unsanitary
Also, the Nigerian guy will ignore you in the drive-thru after handing you your order.
And the KFC encouragement to order via the app is laughable, insults the intelligence, because their paper coupons have no discount codes to enter online.
This was my favorite location, until my last two...
Read moreI love Taco Bell but will NEVER come to this location again. Came here tonight for myself and while my order was good I didn't get my debit card back. So I had to come back out at 9 PM, WITH 2 kids. I go in tell the guy in the front that I didnt get my card back. He was quiet but okay. He goes and whispers something to the chick in the drive thru and starts kind of looking around for my card. She barely glances at me, gets overly defensive and says she gave it back. She had such a nasty attitude. Only guilty people defend themselves from what I have learned. Not a good look. Guy comes back and says maybe it fell in my car...like I didnt look everywhere 500 times before I came all the way back for my card. Which I had already told him i had looked for it. I had to ask for the manager multiple times before he went to grab him.
The manger looked in different locations, then said sorry and I had to ask if he could contact me when it is found.
If this was handled more professionally and had she not of been outrageously rude to me I may have considered giving them another chance...but after that we will not be returning and I will pass the same message...
Read moreStopped here last night. Usually friendly staff, good food and quick. This time whoever was running the drive thru at 10:45pm wasn’t helpful. They didn’t know the menu. Told me the item I wanted wasn’t avail anymore. I then asked what delux boxes they had. She ignored my question. Wanted to argue with me about which came with fries. I finally just accepted the box she gave me. When I arrived at the window, I asked for a green avocado sauce, she asked for 20 cents, no problem. Issue was she said it only came with the Cantinia box, which is what I originally asked for. I accepted my mystery box and when I began to eat it, the fries were cold. The tortilla was burned. It was bad all the way around. Before this experience, I would have said this is one of the best around. After last night, I’m not sure. I think my issue was, the low effort applied by the cashier to insure I received what I wanted and a I would have preferred better quality food. After a 13 hour shift, I just wanted a good meal and friendly service. This was not the case. I tried to call and speak to a manager and my call...
