I can only say my overall experience was middle of the road. The staff are friendly, but the wait Iāve had every time Iāve gone kind of requires that the staff be nice not to make you go off on them. However, what made me write this review is a great experience I had with the pharmacist, Dr. Kwame (maybe thatās his name?).
Alright - so I got SMILE (another LASIK) eye surgery and needed to pick up eye drops. I picked up my prescription the day before surgery and went on with life. Well, I ran out of be antibiotic a few days before I was supposed to stop taking it, so I called and did a refill using the automated system. Went by the next day to pick it up and the lady at the counter seemed surprised that I had already gone through the drops and said they didnāt fill it ābecause my insurance wouldnāt pay for it and itās too expensive.ā It was $142 without insurance.
Now, I am going to look past the fact that these Walmart employees made a decision not to fill my prescription because they simply assumed I could not afford the medicine without insurance. Uh - seeing as I just dropped nearly $4k on vanity, Iām not going to fret over a $150 prescription to make sure I donāt get an infection. That drug insurance is a blessing, but itās certainly not a mandate for me to get the drops. But I will leave her to live her life in assland...
Anyway, I was wondering why she was so surprised by the drops being used up - I followed my doctorās instructions on how often to use them (often), so I called up the pharmacy to ensure that I had received the whole script. The pharmacist was EXTREMELY HELPFUL. He reviewed the prescription and found the issue. I actually hadnāt gotten all of my original prescription. He said heād call my insurance and it would be ready for pickup that day. Sure enough, it was and all I paid was $10! (see why I said Iād look past her remarks?) I appreciated the doctorās willingness to assist and actually investigate the issue. Then fix it! Awesome job.
Now I canāt say Iād want to go back (hopefully I wonāt have to - unless I get more elective surgery...), the wait was long every time I went and just the hassle of Walmart - goodness! BUT Iād recommend others go for cheap meds and a darn...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe worst customers service I've ever experienced, ever. Once they take your money, the services go down hill. I paid for my RXs, then stood for 10 minutes waiting for someone to counsel me on the med. I was just standing there watching everyone just sitting, doing nothing. No one NEVER acknowledged me. No one NEVER said, I'll be with you shortly. Then, I got mad and told them that, my husband is sick and he needs his medication now. And that I was leaving without counseling. I walked up to the front of the store looking for a manager, or anyone who could help me. So, I called the Pharmacy, asked for the manager. They put me on hold and never came back to the phone. So, I walked back to the Pharmacy and saw where they had waited on all the White people who was in line behind me. Apparently, they didn't have to wait at all for counseling. When the SLOW India lady came to talk to me about the meds, she had an altitude. She told me that she have to counsel you on the meds. I told her that I had been standing forever, waiting. I saw the gentlemen tell her X2 that I was waiting and she just sat there. Never once said, I'll be with you shortly. Never acknowledged me at all. I have to go back to Walmart today for another Rx but this time, I'm not paying for it unless some one is ready to counsel me on med. If not, I will immediately transferred the RX to another Pharmacy. The ratings should be on a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been using this Walmart pharmacy for about 3years they can see all of my records I'm sure from over the last 20-25years. I have a pain medication that I have been taking for at least 18yrs a low dose narcotic... I have had a couple of surgeries over the years because of cancers,so when I change from the heavy meds back to the lite ones 5mg Norco .. I have a prescription for just less than 20 of them that I only use prn ... It usually lasts about 3months or more ... But this is WHAT REALLY IRRITATES ME... they give me the 3rd degree everyš time it is refilled š š«¤... They always fill I need to be counseled... I give them the same answers every time. It's REALLY annoying and I feel they are violating my privacy. A HIPPA violation. I am really seriously considering changing To another pharmacy. Being in Healthcare myself for over 40years I know there is a problem with people overusing opioids... But in stark contrast the people that honestly need the PAIN RELIEF don't receive it because of the over Paranoia about opioids. I had a RIGHT UPPER LOBE LUNG LOBECTOMY and suffered horribly because of not enough pain meds..This is a subject that really need to be approached ... So that we the people who need the pain relief can Ć ctually...
