Craft Food — Local services in Plano

UPDATE: They have started selling shawarma and it's AMAZING! The first few weeks it was difficult to get, because it was always sold out (or I got there too late!). Try it. You won't be disappointed. They will start selling falafel soon. Will update again after trying that!

This little gem just opened in Plano, a block away from Frisco (by Preston & SH 121 - Sam Rayburn Tollway). It is an Eastern European grocery store, but the owner said it will soon expand into a deli/bistro, when they include sandwiches, kebab, shawarma and other prepared foods. I will update this review when that happens!

There are lots of different sections and products that you won't find in your local Kroger, Whole Foods, Aldi, etc. It is very well stocked. I found products that I had never seen or tried before, like young walnut preserves from Armenia, cottage cheese with grapes, lots of different preserved fish and snacks thanks one's supposed to have while sipping vodka.

I hope they soon post or share easy or traditional recipes that can be prepared with the products and ingredients they sell.

Their deli section looks promising and is something I plan to explore in depth soon. There were mouth watering sausages and deli meats. They also bake their own bread!

Can't wait to go back when they start selling sandwiches, kebab and shawarma. Apparently they will offer lamb, beef, chicken and pork! 🤤

Happy to see something totally different than what you regularly find...

I had to try this place my friends are talking about it. I am not a person who likes to share experiences but this one i have to so other people can enjoy it as much as i did. Place is very clean, organized and employees very friendly. I went at a busy time ( i guess don't know if all the time is like that) and employees were kind to ask if needed help. I loved to see people of different ethics buying at this place. I would even say that I could feel a family environment there. I don't know if it happened to anyone else before...shopping? I know...weird. I had to try the chicken shawarma (that's why I went there) It was delicious. It is big but believe me once you try it you will eat it all. Definitely I highly...

A terrible place with shockingly bad customer service. They accepted my package, and it sat at their location for over a month without any updates. When I called to inquire, I was met with yelling and rudeness instead of any effort to resolve the issue. They offered no solutions or accountability for their incompetence. The store might look modern, but the customer service is stuck in the Soviet era—avoid this place at all costs! P.S. regarding your answer - not true. Nobody contacted me. And your attitude is horrible. By the way - when I contacted Mist, the issue was solved immediately, it made me think that you've never contacted them...so... anyway it's our last time...
