I've been here three times now, generally with 8-12 people and the experience has always been about the same:
Arrival- Usually greeted and taken to a table very quickly. Staff has always been nice and pleasant.
Atmosphere- Loud, but kid friendly. You don't feel bad if your kid is making a ton of noise.
Staff- Nice and very friendly, but no matter how much you ask the service doesn't move any faster.
Drinks- They ask you for drinks, but then it takes forever to have them arrive at your table so try to order once you sit down. I think I already ate 3-4 slices of different pizzas before my canned soda was delivered to the table.
Pizza- The first rounds of pizzas typically start arriving at your table shortly after you're seated, but a lot of them are repeats and typically not any of the ones you would want anyway. I swear they offered us lamb pizza about 5-10 times but we had to beg for them to bring more cheese pizza for the kids. I think cheese only came by twice? The Hot Sopressata only came by once or twice. BBQ only came by once. Chicken Tikka - once.
They claim 14+ different pizzas but plenty were missing last night- No: Mexican Elote, Spinach & Bacon, Chicken Catupiry, Garlic Picanha, Portuguese, Buffalo Chicken.
Dessert- This where things always get frustrating (all three of the times I've been here end the same). They don't want to bring out any dessert pizzas until everyone is done eating normal pizza, but there are some people who are still waiting for the above mentioned pizzas to come out, which never end up coming. So there's this weird lag between dinner/dessert pizzas.
So we finally BEG for the dessert pizzas to come out and it takes forever, the kids are getting restless and the parents are getting frustrated. Finally they bring out half a Dulce De Leeche pizza, so that just makes half the table uncomfortable. Another 5-10 minutes goes by and another Dulce comes out- okay, fine that settles the other half of the table. Then they ask if we want a Banana pizza, well not really- the kids want Nutella, of course..... So then they bring out half a Guava pizza, so again half the table is not eating. Finally after 20-25 minutes of waiting and us asking three more times: one Nutella pizza comes out and of course we take every single slice and ask for another one..... It never comes....... It's literally Nutella drizzled on a plain pizza, why is it so hard to make??
We ask for the bill because we're fed up and ready to leave.
Gratuity is automatically added to large parties, so you can't change anything.
Each family spent $120 for two adults and two children. We spent a total of 2 hours there, mainly waiting for things to come around.
For $360+ at one table you think they could pony up an extra Nutella pizza in a timely fashion. I swear they do it on purpose to drive you out without giving you any dessert pizzas- Maybe they take longer to make or take away oven space from the dinner pizzas?
We probably ate a collective of 6-7 total pizzas, but we would have eaten more if the service would have flowed more promptly with the better pizzas.
So anyway- $360 for drinks and about 7 pizzas, is it worth it? (I think there was only one glass of wine served, so the majority were non-alcoholic sodas and juices).
No clue, but that's probably the last time I'll go...
Read moreI typically don’t write reviews unless they were good experiences cause I choose to highlight the good in an experience/interaction/service. But I was pretty upset at this one. I had a reservation at 8:00pm on Friday August 25th for My son and I for his 9th birthday. Just something simple and as my son would say “fancy pizza” haha. We were sat at the appropriate time and were greeted by our waiter in a timely manner. Got the appetizers and tried multiple selection of pizzas which were good. However, it was just the 2 of us like I said so we didn’t take that long at our table. We were done in about 35/40 mins. I stacked my plates and etc as I always do when I’m finished with a meal due to being in the food service industry plenty times in my past. I turned the little paper delucca circle to red as instructed on the menu. This is something you do when you want to notify the staff that you are done and don’t want anything else, which that should be a clear sign to the waiter to bring the check or come ask if I’d like the check in general, yes? Well, he never came back. A couple other servers asked “who has this table” to other staff and they looked at eachother with confusion. I said I just would like my check so that I can leave. Still never got it. I ended up taking my son to the host stand and asking them for it. Waited around for another 10-15 mins for them to give me my change since I was paying cash. They ended up reimbursing me for my sons portion of his meal plus another extra 7-8 dollars which was nice so I appreciate that. They gave me my sons birthday cheesecake slice in a to go box. Cool great.. I appreciated that too but also.. the whole thing kinda messed up what I even came for which was for my sons birthday. While my son and I were there we did notice that they were prepping for a 20 top and I saw the whole thing. The guests getting sat and served water & appetizers. My waiter which I’ve forgotten his name and wouldn’t name him anyway (cause that’s not the point), he basically forgot about us it seems and went straight to taking care of the 20 top even though we were done before they were all here and sat so it should have been easy to finish mine and my sons table. My review is only meant to let you guys know that the wait staff should be a bit more attentive to their tables and better with time management since it’s not even them thats servicing the entirety of the meal anyways.. My time there should have been more smooth and easier than it was. Thank-you to the manager that decided to reimburse me but didn’t say a word to me, and Thankyou to the girls at the host stand that were the most helpful through this whole thing. I will be back cause my sons dad would like to try Deluccas so I’m hoping it’s a better...
Read moreI was SO excited to try this place. My fiancé and I are new to the area and it seemed like the perfect date night or perfect girls night with their happy hours. We met a group of friends there for my birthday and the atmosphere was wonderful, our waitress was very informative of their concept since none of us had been there and then the pizzas started coming.
however, after our first round we waited for about 10-15 minutes for more to come, and this is a review I actually saw a lot prior to going so it says a lot of everyone loves the pizza and atmosphere and the only negatives are the service and staff. My friend went to ask if we were suppose to get more, or if we missed instructions, she was very respectful about it since none of us had been we had 0 idea how it all worked. After that it seems like they had it out for our table.
One of my friend is Gluten Free based on health issues so she is very strictly gluten free. they explained that she would have to order a personal pizza as they don’t have GF int the selections coming around, totally fair there was no problem with that.
When we got our bills they charged her for the GF and the all you can eat which she didn’t participate it. she tried a topping from a friends dessert pizza and she was accused of eating other slices. we explained that’s not what happened and she quite literally can not eat a regular piece of pizza and they argued with us a bit saying she requested a pizza which she did but for the other end of the table because they had been skipped over 2 times for the dessert pizzas so she spoke up for them.
Totally get if you need to charge for eating toppings, seems a but much as they were serving a table of 10 and you can reality just explain hey if you eat a piece of salami we have to charge you but instead they were VERY rude, said they watched the cameras back, felt like we were in an interrogation, and then still charged her. Regardless of the fact our service took forever and one end of the table had terrible service.
There is a way to conduct yourself especially as a manager and have good customer service even if you are explaining why there’s an extra charge. I can respect someone if they would have gone about it in a more professional way, but it was so unprofessional. the pizza kitchen was laughing and talking about us as we were gathering our things and that’s just unnecessary.
sad to say I probably would not return to this specific location due to the staff. hopefully they get some customer service training and experience because that can make a 5 start experience a 2 star...
