So this review isn’t about prices as that unique to each person. This review is for anyone staying multiple nights there. Please do yourself a favor and run. The nighttime crew that comes in are fantastic and genuinely seem to care about you. They even change your sheets. The daytime nursing staff would visibly get annoyed if you called them on the call button. Sorry my back surgery inconvenienced you and they would slam your water on the table and leave without a word. Even after I said thanks. One nurse told me my BP would have to wait. This is all during my low BP period. I heard the nursing staff and dr (Dr Sabha) talking badly about me after a discussion we had about the dr telling me I had a choice. But I really didn’t because it would effect his night. All while I hear a nurse wanting a nurse discharge. The dr did nothing to stop such things. And the main issue is they look down on you for requesting pain medicine. I couldn’t get any my first two days due to low BP, not their fault. So I was in a lot of pain and they were very rude about the lack of progress I was making as a result. Once the night crew understood my pain level and addressed it, was I finally able to recover. Nobody should ever be shamed for asking for meds after surgery. I went as far as have the nighttime nurse write down my med dosing times for the next day so there could be no excuse to not get it. My response I received was “we will try to get it to you within a two hour window”. And icing on the cake was being discharged without enough medicine (which had the wrong dosage...thank god for competent pharmacies) to make it to my follow up appt with my surgeon. I was visibly in tears as I left the building. I can’t understand how a dr can discharge you without addressing pain issues post surgery. Very unprofessional place and I would highly suggest you don’t stay there. You need people that care. And these people at Plano Surgical Hospital do not. Unless they manage to have the night crew work 24 hrs. 2 DAY UPDATE - Plano Surgical Hospital is the gift that keeps on giving. I was discharged and went home. At home I developed a fever. I went to ER (never going back to PSH). There they found out I have hospital acquired pneumonia. Which means under their professional care I developed pneumonia. ER wanted me to go to PSH. I said no. So they send me to Centennial Hospital so my surgeon could still visit me. And Centennial is FANTASTIC for post care and the way they talk...
Read moreUpdate to my previous review: Be very cautious, I finally got the bill from this hospital, and for a two hour surgery on my Achilee's tendon, they are charging me $127,485.95...F'ing outrageous! How can they justify almost 130K for 2 hrs of work? This hospital is exactly what's wrong with healthcare in America...the greedy and arrogant executive staff feel like they can charge outrageous rates for minor work performed and get away with it. However I do stand by my previous comments that the staff I dealt with were fantastic.
Previous review: Tore my Achilles's tendon and went there for surgery, everyone was great from greeting, to check-in, to surgery prep, anastesia, etc. Dr. Madsen did the surgery and he was a true pro, no complications or issues, just some normal swelling. Shout out to Nurse Belle, she's very professional and just happens to...
Read moreTrust and care. The foundation of health care yet more rare than ever. This facility renewed my hope and raised my spirits and I thought I was there for a simple procedure I had done at at least 5 other places. This is the place! Trustworthy in the attention to details and people to show they cared about me me and each other and truly cared about how the team would perform best for me and the others in their care. My experience yesterday was praise worthy so, I had to share it. Grateful for my improvement in body,...
