I’ve been a loyal 7 Brew customer for a long time and usually choose them over Dutch Bros because I love the brand, the drinks, and the “Cultivate Kindness” mission. Unfortunately, my recent experience at the Carrollton, TX location was extremely disappointing and honestly unsafe.
One of the baristas accidentally poured hot coffee all over me and inside my car. Accidents happen. But what shocked me was how the staff handled it. There was no apology, no real help, and no manager on duty. The employee froze, and the others either defended her or brushed it off. When I asked for a towel or napkins, I was handed a few damp napkins that did nothing for the mess. Coffee spilled into my car door, seat controls, and onto my clothes.
When I asked for a manager, I was told none were ever present, and the staff refused to provide a number. Instead of showing empathy, some became defensive, saying the cups were “faulty” and asking me what I expected them to do. At one point, I was even told to leave because I was “holding up the line.”
This isn’t about the spill itself at all. It’s about how unprepared and untrained this team was to handle a serious situation. No apology, no accountability, and no leadership on site. It left me feeling dismissed and disrespected.
I still love 7 Brew as a brand and have had great interactions in the past, but this crew needs urgent training, a manager physically present, and clear customer service protocols. A company that promotes kindness should make sure their team lives up to that promise, especially when...
Read moreSince this place has opened, my husband & I have gone many times. My husband is there 3-5 times a week before going to work (most of the crew knows him by name) & even 2-3 times after work. I go 2-3 times a week to grab a coffee or another drink before either studying for school or going to school. We have tried many of their drinks there & the drinks rarely disappoint. We also enjoy the service as well, they are generally fast, helpful, & friendly. We love the crew there. My husband’s favorite is the triple 7, usually hot, but he likes it as a chiller sometimes. I personally love the iced caramel macchiato or the cinnamon roll as my go-to for coffee. The iced chai tea latte is my go-to if I don’t really want coffee (I sometimes add pumpkin to it, even though I am not really a fan of pumpkin, but it is so good here). The pina colada smoothie is my go-to if I don’t want either coffee or the chia tea latte. Sometimes I get the midnight rain seven fizz water if I don’t want any of my previously mentioned go-to drinks. I’ve also tried the cinnamon spice tea (iced & sweetened), very delicious, and I’m excited to try it hot once it gets colder. (UPDATE: it is very good hot & sweetened!) They don’t really have food, just muffin tops- love the blueberry one. But we’ve only gotten those like twice. Hoping this place stays around for years, with the same great...
Read moreWhen I saw it being built I thought of 151 coffee since it’s very similar in concept and design. I got excited. Because the only two places I have found in DFW that make a decently strong (caffeinated) latte are 151 and Merritt coffee. I tried 7 brew latte and here are my ratings below -151 and Merritt about a tie for strength -711 latte hit and miss sometimes strong -Starbucks latte sometime same or weaker than 711 -McDonald’s McCafé the weakest latte until.. -7 brew latte. Until I tried it McDonald’s was the weakest. I know it’s new so I think a few things could be going on. Did they order or get a big batch of decaffeinated beans labeled as regular beans? Maybe their distributors fault? Or is it their business model to start at the weakest as in no caffeine and adjust up to customers tastes. That’s my two best guesses. Because I’m pretty sure my latte was decaffeinated. That weak. I got it for the late shift. The kick never came. I wouldn’t call it weak. I seriously think it was...
