I am not one to typically write reviews but I just had to do so for this experience. I am an avid MAC makeup user. I have stayed loyal to the brand for the last 7 years and have not been the happiest with the service but it was what I was familiar with. I had frequented a couple Sephora's on occasion but was overwhelmed by all the product as well as the poor service I had encountered.
I have been contemplating switching makeup and knew i would be going into Sephora soon but kept my hopes low. I had a rough day at work and thought to myself in passing that I would walk into Sephora and look at options but had already set the bar low, based on my past experiences.
The store was very neat, fully stocked. Upon my arrival, I was quickly greeted and paired with a specialist. I was a little hesitant to be paired with someone as I didn't know if they would be rude or dismissive. To my surprise not only did she help me with what I came looking for but offered advice for my skincare regimen and was also both VERY patient and informative regarding any questions I had for her. She did not rush me through anything or pressure me to get anything infact there were products i wanted to try outside of what i initially came for and not once did she get tired of educating me or seeing if there was a sample i could try. She not only gave me a positive Sephora experience, she also turned my terrible and stressed day around by being so friendlu, polite, helpful and most of all GENUINE! Sephora is blessed to have a specialist like Mac and i pray that this world will be filled with many more joy-bringing angels like her! Mac i cannot wait to purchase any skincare products i need from you! I wish you all the best in your career and i pray and hope your kind attitude will take you to heights you never imagined! Read moreMy girlfriend fell in love with a body spray Sephora sells. We went to 2 other location looking for that specific scent only to find out it was no longer available in store and only online. We searched online and of course it was sold out. She checked a few more times to no avail. We happened to stroll in on Saturday to the legacy west location in search of a new bronzer to match her sun kissed tone. I snuck away from her to see if for some miraculous reason it was available and to my shock it was. I grabbed it, waited in line, and paid. I told the cashier I was trying to surprise her and to keep the bag. I then went to find and to surprise her with the fact that it was available and that I already paid. I had been standing next to her with it in my back pocket for no longer than a minute just for an associate to come up to me and ask me if I needed a basket. My girlfriend was so confused. I told the associate, No I’m okay I didn’t need one. She kept persisting that I did. I told her no again and she pointed at my bottle. One I was being accused of theft. Two she ruined the surprise. The disrespect I received at this location was unbelievable. I feel like I was profiled. I went straight from the check out (after telling the cashier what I was doing) to find her, just to be accused of theft. I felt like I was being watched and embarrassed. My girlfriend was happy but also in disbelief. We both felt disrespected and she decided to leave the purchases she was going to make and we left. After giving it more thought, she decided she’d rather go home without the spray than to be humiliated and accused like that in the middle of a busy Saturday afternoon. Read moreAs the mother of a teenage daughter (and someone who also loves Sol De Janeiro and other beauty products) I frequent Sephora a lot. We have been to many locations throughout the DFW area and also in our previous home state of Virginia. All that said, this location won my favorite location of all time today because of an associate by the name of Allison. When we went to check out with out items I asked Allison if it was possible to get my daughter a sample of a foundation she was interested in. Allison kindly color matched her with this super cool new technology, gave us so much helpful information, helped my daughter understand her options with her Sephora account and her new color match information, and gave her two samples (one for her summer skin match and one for her fall skin match). Allison was so sweet and knowledgeable and made my teenage daughter feel so special - which made me the happiest of all the moms in Legacy West, I am just sure of it. Her kind customer service, knowledge, and just overall demeanor is not something always seen anymore and I was so grateful she helped us! We will definitely be going back to this location in the future even though it is out of our way because of this star employee! Thank you Allison for making our Girl's day all the better! And many thanks to Sephora for your sample policy! You make it easy to want to spend money at your store when we are able to know just what we are getting!
