GNC — Local services in Pleasant Hill

Upon purchasing my product the cashier offered me 20% off my item if I created an account with them. I said okay and gave her all of my information. After she created an account for me she then proceeded to tell me that I only would get the 20% off if I signed up for a subscription to get products delivered monthly. I told her I wasn't interested in that and she took my discount away. I told her she failed to mention that part to me before making an account, and I asked her to just give the 20% off as she has told me originally. She said sorry she couldn't do that. I decided to not purchase my product anymore since the cashier couldn't hold up to her word she had told me. I left empty handed and with plenty of spam mail coming my way. Today I went into this GNC in Pleasant Hill and I was asked if I needed help looking for a product. I was interested in a preworkout, which the cashier told me was not in stock. Then I suddenly found an entire box of the preworkout on the sales floor, which was odd. As I picked it up, the cashier told me the entire box of preworkout is reserved for some guy and she wouldn't allow me to purchase it. I thought she was joking until the manager confirmed. I asked if I could just buy one single serving of it and they refused. They said some guy wanted all of it and that he might pick it up sometime in the next several day. I really couldn't believe I was told I couldn't purchase it, even though I was already in the store ready to make the same purchase. I'm never going to this location again. I felt like I was being hard sale tactics all over as if at some shady car dealership. It might be odd, but I was just checking out to see if there would be some new supplements of some kind that I may be unaware of (such as when creatine first came out) and considered buying the next new thing.

When one of the employees had asked me what's the visit for- I pretty much said the above, and then I was told I needed a supplement plan (such as dailies) and when I declined in a friendly manner I was met with more "should try this too" and etc rather than what I had intended to come in there...
