I would give 0 stars if possible. The staff immediately treated me like I had stolen something because I was trying to make an exchange of a Christmas gift. After refusing to do the exchange without a receipt I gave them the person who purchased it phone number so they could look it up. I wasn't trying to offend the person who got it for me, so I asked them if they could not put the return on the persons account. Which they refused. I was gifted the gold/pink bottle of a Juicy Couture perfume, but I wanted the gold/black bottle. Both versions were the 3.4oz bottle and both were $122. When they processed the exchange, which should have been AN EVEN exchange, they rang up a negative $122 (with no tax) and then rang up a positive $122 with tax -which means I was then going to be paying DOUBLE sales tax. This should have been a simple even exchange with no money due. They claimed that they never refund sales tax, that customers always have to pay tax twice and that it was company policy. At one point there were 3 women at the register all trying to argue this very simple concept with me. After being fed up with them I left and called customer service. Customer service told me that all of the cashiers involved were wrong, it is not company policy and that they should have processed as an even exchange instead of charging me for sales tax again. Customer service did process a refund for me over the phone of the money I was incorrectly charged. I will never visit this location again, and will likely only be a Sephora customer moving forward. Read moreI got my hair done there, and the girl that was going to do my hair ,said it was going to be sixty dollars. I had to reschedule my appointment ,and the girl that answered the phone ,named ,Rhonda said she would color my hair! She didn’t say she charges ten dollars more when I rescheduled on the phone with her! I looked at my receipt , and that’s how I noticed! There was no communication on the phone or in person about it! I think this is bad customer service! Communication is the key to getting situations right ! No one helped me with this delema, they just said, that they understand how I feel , but did nothing, they tried to make me feel bad ,for their mistake, by kicking me out of the store! I asked for my tip back, and they didn’t charge me for the hair color! It takes a lot for me to do this, I don’t want to shop there again anyway! Everyone that worked their, that day ,did not help me, although they said they understand my situation, that’s called two faced! I would highly recommend to not go there, Their communication and customer...
Read moreAt most salons, a curly haircut means cutting hair in its natural curly state. At Ulta Beauty, however, having naturally curly hair automatically means you're charged for a curly cut, even if that's not the service you want. I booked a signature haircut, but when I arrived, the stylist insisted I would have to pay for a curly cut due to my hair texture, even though I specifically wanted a signature haircut with a blow dry for an even trim. The curly cut costs $72, while the non-curly cut is $57. She also added that blow drying my hair for the trim would cost an extra $45. Despite not requesting the full curly cut service, I was told I’d still be charged the higher curly cut price. While the $15 difference might seem minor, charging more based on hair texture feels discriminatory and like a microaggression. If a stylist is unable to work with curly or Black hair, they should not offer those services, or at the very least, clearly state that their services are geared toward non-Black, straight,...
