I am so frustrated with their return policy I will not be shopping there again! I did my Christmas shopping early and wanted to EXCHANGE a skirt I bought my daughter that is the wrong size. One of the employees looked it up on the computer and saw that they had her size at the J. Crew warehouse so I asked if they could exchange the one I had for the one at the warehouse... the employee had to check with the manager and came back and said because it had been more than 30 days I could ONLY exchange it for something currently IN the store.... I said, "But you don't have the size I need here in the store... it's at the warehouse!" They said No... you have to take something in the store... I tried looking around but couldn't see anything I wanted to buy so I asked if I could take a store credit and come back and shop later when I wasn't so frustrated, since right at the moment I don't feel like shopping... I'm too angry... The manager said No, we don't DO store credits like Walmart and Target. I was shocked at her attitude... and appalled that they would rather LOSE a good customer than exchange a skirt that THEY HAVE at their warehouse!!! I wasn't asking for anything more than a simple exchange!! It's not like I was trying to get it for cheaper and get money back!! These days I would think a retail company would try harder in the Customer Service department. They just lost me as a customer. And if you bought your loved ones something on Black Friday (November 25th) they will have to return it Christmas Day to stay under the “30 day policy” or take something else in the store as an exchange! Read moreI want to make sure to give Krystal and Destiny a 5 star review for our experience here! My wife and I were shopping for new clothes and ended up at J Crew as our last stop. The two ladies working were AMAZING! They were both so attentive, welcoming, and determined to make our experience impeccable. Krystal was assisting my wife in picking out outfits and finding clothes to make her look and feel amazing. Krystal was like a personal stylist and l hand selected everything and she had such a natural eye for style! We were having such a good time and none of us realized it was 7:40, even though they closed at 7:30. We felt terrible about the time but we never felt like we were rushed or pushed out. Read moreAbsolutely has customers interest last!! My wife needed exchange a skirt for the correct size. The clerk looked in their computer system and found that the size was at warehouse. However, due to a policy that the exchange has to be done with an item that is “on property and on the shelves” she could not get the correct size of skirt, which was a gift. The manager refused to order the correct skirt and refused to bring in the skirt that was actually available and in the company’s warehouse. I have not seen such poor customer service. Risking loosing not just one customer, but dozens as a result of such a simple request. ...
