99 Ranch Market — Local services in Pleasanton

If you’re a regular shopper then you know that you get these coupons that you can use at the hot deli department or the bakery. So I was there today. It was around 1230 when I went to the cashier. As I was waiting for my turn I noted that the customer ahead of me received six dollars worth of coupons for her $80 purchase. When it came to my turn, I got a measly two dollars for my $70 purchase. lol. This is extremely petty; I know. She even wrote six on my receipt to indicate that she was gave me six. It’s a sad day when the cashiers need to skim coupons from their customers. I would’ve just picked up some pastries for my little boys with the extra four dollars. I didn’t bother to say anything. She needs it more than me… Two stars for unscrupulous cashier behavior! I think I’ll pass on this location from now on. Never was too impressed with any of their employees’...

I like shopping at 99 Ranch Market. I wish they had opened the store in Elk Grove as they had planned a long time ago, but they didn't. The Sacramento store is in a not very safe area. I don't want to shop there at night! I've shopped at many 99 Ranch Markets in Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Seattle. They're the best Asian supermarket chain in the United States.

This one in the Pacific Pearl Shopping Center is good but not the best compared to the other 99 Ranch Markets in the Bay Area. The prices of most of the items seem slightly more expensive, and the Chinese hot foods are not very good. But the store itself is still very clean, well-stocked, and easy to navigate through and find the items I'm looking for.

Love this Asian grocery store! The store is clean and doesn't have the smell that many Asian stores have. They have a great meat section with well-prepared packaged meats. They also have a seafood section that is complete with live seafood like silver carp and Dungeness crabs. They also clean and cook (fried or steamed) your fish. The veggie section is clean and organized, with most produce wrapped in bags or cellophane.

There is also a hot Chinese deli with a great selection of foods, including dim sum favorites, roast pork, roast chicken, roast duck, and stir fry dishes. A bakery is also available, serving lots of various Asian baked goods.
