Yin Ji Chang Fen - Pleasanton — Restaurant in Pleasanton

My mom and I love this place so much. My mom was born and grew up in Guangzhou, so she had chang fen a lot in her neighborhood. She brought me to Yinji today and told me it was her favorite chang fen brand.

We ordered beef changfen, a mixed sliced pork congee, and a dough. The beef changfen was marinated and tasted so smooth. The mixed pork congee had pork, liver and kidney. The kidney was crispy. I personally strongly recommend this congee!!! You could dip the crispy dough into the congee and try it. Wow!!! It would be so amazing!

Yinji was busy when we got there, but we didn’t wait that long then got a table. The two waitresses worked so efficiently and nicely. They looked different, but worked like twins. One took orders for customers and cleaned tables, the other did the cashier job and handed food to customers. They made a strong impression on me. They worked quickly but also kept a clear and nice communication with customers. I heard they spoke Cantonese, Mandarin, and English fluently. They are the best Chinese waitresses I have ever seen in the bay area.

We would definitely come back to try other...

The food here is delicious and the most amazing part is that the food doesn't come out too oily. I've tried the brisket beef, marinated beef, and vegetable noodles rolls. I've also tried the fish and the vegetable porridge. Both kinds were tasty and satisfying. It's hard to come by dimsum that doesn't over use their oil but still maintains perfect texture. I live 30 min away and only discovered this place two weeks ago but have already gotten take out from here twice. Totally worth the drive! They do get a bit busy during meal times so it's better to prepare. The first time I ordered around 6p and they said it would be ready in 25 min but the second time I ordered about the same amount of food at 4:30p and it was ready in 10 min. Highly...

Food is good, but the service is atrocious.

We went in at 8 PM on 10/16/2021 and the servers were terrible (one was petite with shoulder length hair and one was tall, skinny, with a long ponytail). After we sat down, the waitress complained that she was tired to work, implying that she didn’t want to take our table. We added a few items while we were there and we were either ignored. There was no response or acknowledgement of what we said. When we brought it to their attention, the waitress talked back in such a bad attitude. She called us crazy and for complaining about the service.
