I placed an order for two cakes on May 3, 2023 for my brother's birthday; I ordered a Blake Forest cake and a Tiramisu cake. When I ordered online, there was an option to select if the cakes were for a birthday, which I did select, and the follow-up question asked for the name of the person's birthday. I filled in all of the information quiet happy because I wasn't expecting the bakery to even ask; thus, I presumed that the cakes would have some sort of birthday related decoration. I called the next day asking about how my order was going and if it would be ready for pickup the following day, and the worker responded that, yes, the order will be ready and our pickup time was confirmed. I go to pick up the cakes the next day; the ambiance inside of the bakery is nice and welcoming upon entry. There were no other customers at the time I got to the register. I proceeded to tell the cashier all of the information regarding my order, and he goes into the back for a while to box up the cakes. At this point I was very happy, and he returned with the cakes. I was on my way out when I checked the cakes to make sure my order was properly fulfilled. I was able to get the Blake Forest cake with no problems; there were no birthday decorations/name on the cake and I was perfectly fine with that. When I checked the next cake, the first thing I noticed was that it said "LOVE" on it, which was a bit confusing considering that it is a BIRTHDAY CAKE. I then opened the box and compared it to the display cakes in the glass display; this cake was NOT Tiramisu- it was some other kind of mocha cake that I did not order. I turned around and waited until a worker could help me. A different worker was directly to help me, and I kindly and patiently explained to her what the problem was, in which she immediately responded that they do not have any tiramisu cakes at that time. She went back to double check, and came back telling me that I can choose any of the other cakes. Well, yes, I understood that I could choose any other cakes but that wasn't what was discussed literally 24 hours before. The other worker that helped probably knew what was going on because he boxed the cakes and didn’t bother to tell me that they had no tiramisu- he was probably hoping I wouldn’t check and notice until I got home. I was not provided anything to compensate the mistake nor was I provided any other way of getting ahold of the cake I ordered. In fact, I felt like I was gaslighted because she was trying to tell me that the cake they boxed for me was "pretty much the same thing". If the cakes were the same, they would be called the same. The excuse I was given was that it was "Mother's day weekend"...If it truly was Mother's Day weekend, I would definitely understand that mistake, but given the fact that it was certainly NOT Mother's Day weekend, this excuse did not make sense to me at all. I did not cause a scene in the bakery because I believe that humans should treat other humans with humanity, but I am very disappointed in the service I received considering these cakes are $37/$38 each. I should have just gone to Costco. I would have gotten what I wanted, and the cakes would have been bigger.
Do not expect your order to be fulfilled as placed online. Always make sure you got what you ordered before leaving...
Read moreOne of the worst 85 degree i have visited. There is no customer service here, so much attitude always. Today really was last straw, i wont be visiting this location anymore. One i placed doordash pick up and came in to pick up where the sign is, saw my name and took the order. The lady was like you need to wait in line and ask… then why there is a pick up sign… ok… next time around i waited in line and when picking up i said doordash pick up, she was like you dont need to stand in line… ok… they always make you feel like u did something wrong… today i left my house at 1:30 arrived to pick up 1:50. There was no one upfront and no order i can see in pick up. So i waited in line after a male customer. Finally someone came couple minutes later, seems came back from a break. Couple minutes past. My turn. So i said i placed a pick up order. She was like oh, we out of red bean break, we only have 1, my order was 3, and 2 drinks. So i said can i get refund and are my drinks ready. She went to ask then said no. So i said i placed the order over 20 minutes ago, so i dont need to wait. She was like, well its not ready… then she said since i bought on doordash she cant refund. And if i wanted another bread. So i said no, can u do a drink instead and i can pay the difference. She said she doesnt know if thats doable and went to ask… then came back with manager i suppose. She proceeded to just open cashier nearby and help next person. The manager started with: so whats the issue? I was really not happy and annoyed at that moment. The girl who helped me had zero emotions. And totally so much attitude like you bringing her so much inconvenience, she didnt feel even a bit bad that order placed 20+ minutes ago and nothing was ready and proceeded to give u plain answers like everything is a no here. She didnt explain anything to manager what happened. So i told manager my order was placed over 30 minuets ago, when i arrived only 1/3 red bean bread available, no drinks made, i asked for refund she said she cant do it. I dont have an issue here i just want a refund thats all. She then told the girl who was helping before that orders need to be confirmed if they have stuff before accepting, so it wont happen in future. Then she said you can have some other bread. I told her i dont want anything else, but u can male another drink and i will pay balance, then the drink was made and the guy who was in back making drinks even asked if i wanted same, less sweet and no ice, i said yes please. Like he was fine, then maybe he should work the front. Instead of putting someone who clearly doesnt want to be there. Every time you leaving this place with so much negative emotions, so no even it was convenient location i wont be...
Read moreWe ordered the a cake for Christmas but when we went to pick it up the lady said that they never received the order even though we received a confirmation email and our card had been charged. She said there was no cake under our name in the back and kept questioning us if someone else had already picked it up even though we told her no multiple times. In the end she went to the back and came out with a cake which surprised me since she said there was no cake. Upon further inspection, the cake she gave us was not the one we ordered. We had ordered the Christmas deluxe strawberry cake for $37 but the one she gave us was the regular strawberry cake for $36. While the price difference was minuscule, we mostly ordered the cake for the Christmas theme so it was not what we expected. When I told her she argued that the cake was the same, it was only the frosting that was different so I showed her the picture from the website and she admitted that she couldn’t find our cake so she purposely grabbed a different strawberry one instead. I don’t know if there was an issue in the system or if they accidentally sold the cake but the entire interaction felt incredibly unprofessional and the lady was very rude. Not once did she apologize for not having the cake but rather blamed us for the issue and lied to try to get us to go away. We are never ordering from here again.
tldr: We ordered a cake for Christmas but when we went to pick it up they said they didn’t have it so the lady tried to purposely give us a different cake to make us go away. When we told her it was the wrong cake she was very rude and blamed us for their mistake. Would not recommend ordering...
